What does this mean?

"Term: This Agreement is effective June 1 and terminates on March 31, 2024, subject to the conditions stated herein. On March 31, 2022, the Term will automatically extend for an additional two years, expiring March 31, 2026."

So he is basically signed through 2026???

Unless I'm missing something, it also looks like TK would not owe UT anything if he leaves for another job (on pages 18-19). Meanwhile, if UT were to fire him, he would be owed his full base salary ($333,906 per year) through 3/31/24.
7 years of a guaranteed contract seems very excessive. He has a great agent for sure. MOB has a thing with contract extensions. This seems so one sided in TK's favor. Looks like we are in for a long haul with our MBB program. So be it...
I'm not sure what TK's buyout would be if leaves early for another job which most likely will be for a school in a major conference. But I will not have a problem with it as that means he will have won 1 or more MAC Tournament Championships like Buffalo's Nate Oats or Ohio's John Groce have done that got them jobs in major conferences like the SEC and Big 10 respectively. That is what everyone on this Message Board has been hoping for and complaining about for years. So if he breaks his contract because of his success leading to a better job, I can live with that!

That would be the best for all involved. He would have won big, team gets good pub leading to a lot of interest for the job...ideal in all regards. Now let's have at it!
Timing is everything. The team ran into a Buffalo that was beyond MAC usual and played them tighter than anyone else had without our season's most points. Even in 2016, barely lost to Ohio, which barely lost to Kent. It's kind of participation trophy but for all practical purposes, Coach K did develop an NCAA caliber team. He's still got some things to figure out, some decisions that shot himself in the foot or chemistries he couldn't quite get the potential. Dog's not too old to figure them out.
