I’m surprised by Ohio State. Are fans of certain schools drawn away by prominent non-official accounts I wonder?
Do take a look at basketball. @DukeMBB has 2.2 million followers, dwarfing any college football program.

I'm with you on Ohio State - in fact, I went back and double-checked that one! IDK, perhaps they have a lot of folks going to another account, like you suggest

I think it's split like you said between the official site and eleven warriors. Eleven Warriors has a lot of great posters, but, like every other site, there are bad apples. I actually prefer bucknuts, it's pretty level headed but quite small at 20k followers.
Hokie Mark, do you ever get on Tech Sideline? I think that's what it's called? I was on there in 2014 when VT played at Ohio State. Really good people on there from what I remember. There was a Nebraska guy if I remember correctly that was kind of annoying?

I go there occasionally, but between this place, WORK, and my own blog, there isn't much time for anything else...

Gotcha, keep up the good work my friend!
Has this replaced spring game attendance as the main off season debate???

Since I bought a place near Mouth of Wilson, Virginia two years ago, I follow both Tech Sideline fairly regularly. Good posters on there.

I plan to retire and become a Virginia resident soon, so I figured I should get to know my neighbors...

That Nebraska guy was an internet nuisance.

A little late I realize, but still...welcome to God's Country. Virginia is a wonderful place.

I always thought the Nebraska guy was Greg Flugaur in disguise.

Not specifics, but have driven through there on the way to/from games in the Triangle area from Central VA many times in the past. Seems to be sort of a hidden treasure in the commonwealth that isn't talked about as much. First time I drove through there about 20 years ago I saw all this water from the lake area and my jaw hit the floor positively thinking "where the heck did all of this come from?" Not much to see on Route 15 on the northern VA or the southern NC side of the lake and then all of a sudden BOOM there's this prestine big lake.

Thanks, my wife and I enjoy the area.

We are right on the North Carolina line, fifteen miles from West Jefferson, NC and fifteen miles from Independence, Va.

A strategic retirement move that enables you many a weekend trip to watch Notre Dame road games!

Get your shots in advance - rabies, hep, and tetnus. Carry a snake bite kit.

PS you can;t whip the bottom catfish by yourself unless you are a hell of a man.

PSS my dad is from that area and when I was about 25 he was showing me how to noodle. It was hot and boring. Very late in the day the entire noodle disapeard to the bottom where I could not see. Dad instinctiley produced his big knife and said "stand back boy".

Next thing I knew the damn ugliest, biggest freshwater catfish I had ever seen was up and almost in the boat - having seen a saltwater channel bass of 58 lbs this ugly was at least 45 pounds. I got two hands on him and have only been beat like that by a female NC State Basketball player and a Mule.

As far as I know, he still lurks, waiting for Dad to catch him but with a more reliable mate to help get him in. He had a head big enough to swallow canteloupe.

Sounds like Mouth of Wilson, or Grassy Creek. Have you met any of the Hudlers - I guess they still are in the tree business unless they have been bought out like everyone else. I don't get there much anymore.

Pond Mountain and Whitetop were my favorite spots.
