There's no mention of it, so I assume there isn't.
Should have been able to get a H/H with Purdue. Its the job of the lower MAC programs like EMU and Kent State to take a 1 and done with Purdue.

Possible valid comment...depends on what they paid for the game. less than 800k h/h; more than 800k 1 and done thank you and we may beat you.

Purdue is quickly improving. It should be a great game, if Kiffin is still at Boca.
I expect FAU to win that game. Regardless of spread, a loss to Purdue should always be considered an upset. They are a middle of the pack MAC school masquerading as a P5.

With Brohm as the coach they are much better than they used to be. I don't know if he'll still be around by 2022, but if he is then Purdue could be a top team in the Big 10 by that time.

I do not think Purdue will ever be at the top of Big 10.

You are not paying attention. Jeff Brohm has Purdue on a major upswing. Not sure if they can keep Brohm, but Purdue has the facilities to compete at high level and now they have the coach....Beat Ohio St. last year...

there conference distribution says otherwise.

I know they have been recruiting better. Several G5 schools used to be able to count on them as one of the P5s they were ahead of in the rankings. Last year, they brought in the #25 class. If that continues, they should be pretty good for years to come with Brohm coaching.
Purdue is becoming the Purdue of many moons ago, not a program that other P5's call an auto win anymore and they should keep improving with Jeff as their coach. What will be interesting is if the boosters can up his salary enough to make it hard to leave.
I mean he turned down a good chunk of change to go to Louisville. If he didn't leave for them then he's probably there for a while.

Louisville athletics is a mess thanks to former AD Tom Jurich. It will take them years to right the ship Jurch sank. Jurch misdoings started almost imed when he got on the job, four months after he got there he started fueling money from the academic side of the university to the fund raising to help build the new Cardinal Stadium. In 2000 it was announced that John Schnatter (then the owner of Papa John's) was making an 8.5 million dollar donation and that the new Cardinal Stadium would have the name Papa John's Stadium until 2025, he later gave another 10 million to extend the naming rights to 2040. It was later uncovered that Jurich had pocketed some of that money.

This was only a few years of the new stadium that opened in 1998. I don't even ant to get into the hiring of Pitino/Patrino and the scandals both caused and how the Yum Center came about.

If I was a coach I would stay FAR away from the Louisville athletic department.

After Jurich was fired in Oct 2017, in the middle of 2018 the UL Board of Directors voted to rescind the naming rights of Papa John's Stadium and just rename it Cardinal Stadium.

Agree, weird take here by UNT fan...
Didn't Purdue beat Ohio State this past year? Don't they have WKU's old head coach? Might be a tougher game than most anticipate...

To completely honest the comments on this thread a joke. Who knows what we will be in 2022 and who knows what Purdue will be. The extent of this thread should be oh, interesting opponent we have never played.

Disagree.

Comments have been pretty reasonable. Asking if there is a return game for Purdue is reasonable. It's not like it's Ohio State we're talking about. I think Purdue has done plenty of H/H's w/ other CUSA/MAC teams in years past. Of course, this isn't your older brother's Purdue anymore. They seem to be on the upswing thanks to Brohm. If he keeps beating Ohio State then he might get swooped up by Michigan or someone with BIG BIG bucks...and then it's back to Purdue being one of the most winnable P5 games by 2022. There's no telling.
I think FAU might have been able to talk them into a H and H or a 2 for 1. Purdue probably recruits Florida like the rest of the World and probably could have been sold on the value of a trip to Boca. Maybe they were just looking to fill out their schedule this time. If they are paying like other teams in the Big 10 do, then FAU is probably getting over 1 mil easy.
