We're #29, UCF #18, Cincy #33, Houston #47. We're #1 in Tennessee again ... No high ranked players this year. However one of our cheerleaders made the magazine !!! Our Top Newcomer is safety Rodney Owens. Decent beach rag ... 07-coffee3

So if we beat ole miss, we'll have a good chance to get ranked early in the season. 04-cheers
Love preseason mags...I can't say I ever remember them coming out before June
Why would we by ranked if we beat Ole Piss?? Ole Piss will be a terriible team this year coming off of a ban and no recruiting.

TigersTigers, why do you always post above the previous posts? When people reply to you, the quotes are then out of order which is confusing.

Anyway, you are wrong when you say Ole Miss has 'no recruiting'. Luke has done pretty well, especially considering the probation and bowl bans.

22nd this year. 32nd in 2018. Not great for the SEC, but we would kill for these classes, and are in no position to look past Ole Miss. https://247sports.com/college/ole-miss/S...l/Commits/
I don't care about the classes that bum has brought in.

He did absolutely nothing in two seasons with primo Freeze-bought talent.

I hope he stays in Oxford forever.

Bull. 6-6 and 5-7 in the SEC West dealing with the fallout from coach dial-a-hooker is a pretty damn good coaching job. And those two teams were dealing with the scholarship reductions from the NCAA penalties. Most thought Ole Miss would do much worse than that.

And Memphis fans would kill for the 22nd ranked recruiting class.
What fallout? Some bowl ban?

Look at the past two NFL drafts and tell me he didn't waste an extreme amount of high-end talent.

Lost 11 scholarships. Two year bowl ban. Players were allowed to transfer out without sitting a year. They lost 6 starters, including their QB who was starting for Michigan last year. Be serious, dude. You can hate Ole Miss without saying crazy things.
Those schollies don't affect his first two seasons. They will now, as redshirts become freshmen and freshmen become sophomores.

Bowl bans don't affect how many games you win.

Look at the stupid amount of elite talent Freeze had left that idiot.

I hope our players don’t make the mistake of walking on the field with your attitude and belief system. Underestimating an SEC team is pure folly. Losing coaches, losing starters, losing recruits and scandal absolutely impacts immediate seasons and future ones.

I think we win but I don’t see our program affording the luxury of thinking Luke is not capable of beating non SEC opponents.

Absolutely!! Ole Piss will not be an easy win.

Yep, it took TigX all of 5 minutes to look up the data. I don't think that makes him a Rebel Black Bear Landshark fan.

Agree with Tigx. Don't be that dude, TigersTigers.
I have a feeling that this team may end up under performing and this could be the worst year we've had since Fuente's second season.

Before you jump all over my case, a couple things to note: 1) It's just my opinion, so don't let it upset you, 2) I hope I'm wrong. I'm a Tiger fan and would much prefer to see the team finish undefeated than see my preseason prediction come true.

I'm basing this off the lack of big time offensive weapons that have carried the team the last 4-5 years. There is no Anthony Miller. No Darrell Henderson. No Tony Pollard. No Riley Ferguson or Paxton Lynch. Let's not underestimate how good and how productive those guys were. Unless someone emerges on offense this year, we are not going to be nearly as explosive.

The defense has been pretty bad overall for years. I have no reason to believe it'll suddenly carry the team until I see it.

Having said that, the schedule is super watered down, so the Tigers should still win six games.

I'm right there with you. Losing Henderson and Pollard was a big blow. We are pretty much relying on Brady White without his bailout players. I hope the defense drastically improves or it could ugly.
OTOH, now is the time for a Kenny Gainwell or a Calvin Austin III to make a name for themselves. I think Gainwell can get 1,000 yards with enough reps and a little help from the O line. Austin is a legitimate track star. If MN can get that speed to translate to the field, he's got potential as well.

I think we're going to score a lotta points, personally.
Darn, was hoping this would be a night game like in the old days of the Tiger-Reb rivalry. LB has 3 months to stock up on water bottles.
