Weird how Louisville, no matter what we do right or they do wrong.

Yeah, well we’ll see about who gets it right next March!
if Louisville's Nwora stays in draft, we could be top 4 in this poll come Thursday, with or without Tucker
It has been awhile since the Tigers were ranked. To start the season ranked 5th in the country is really cool. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'd say super cool

Penny for Mayor
FYI, this is Parrish's poll. The AP and the coaches polls will be different. There will probably be some contrarians in those polls that don't rank us at all.

so true, but the more you listen to GP, he is so big on talent, inexperienced or not...and he loves NBA projected talent....

#5 Memphis

Penny Hardaway has secured what is arguably the best recruiting class in school history. It's highlighted by 5-star center James Wiseman and 5-star forward Precious Achiuwa - both of whom project as top-10 picks in the 2020 NBA Draft.

Even if we are not ranked in the top five in the AP and coaches poll to start the year, we will still be ranked, which is great to me. It makes me care more from week to week how the other ranked teams are doing, not just the teams in our conference. I will be watching some team like St. Mary’s and actually care whether or not if they lose. It makes that game more enjoyable.

Yep I agree. I generally lose all interest in the sport if my team isn't doing well. I also like that all of our games will be top page on the sports sites and easy to check out box scores.

No doubt. You get a lot more attention if you are ranked.

I believe you to be right. I wouldn't be surprised if those polls have us around 15th or lower.

And maybe your highlights on ESPN.
If they put us at #15 or lower, it is a long slow climb to #1 since teams like Kentucky and Duke and others are never going to schedule a team out of conference play that has much of a chance to beat them. Until they lose a game or two the Tigers can’t overtake them.

I'm sure Duke and UK will be in an early tourney where they can get beat

I'll wait until closer to the end of the season to start worrying about rankings but this is nice.
No. 6 in the latest which was updated to reflect all the players that are staying in college or the draft.

I agree, may have a little bit of growing pains in November.

I would probably rather start out in the 10-15 range and work into it.
