Alright guys, not only is Memphis trying to win the 2019 TBT, our guys are HOSTING which means the premier summer hoops event is going to be in Memphis this year...

Some quick links / follows:

1. Twitter: the team handle debuted just now: https://twitter.com/BluffTbt

2. Tickets to the Memphis Regional on campus (!): https://promotions.thetournament.com/tbt...-regional/

3. Team Page: http://www.thetournament.com/teams/bluff...his-alumni

4. Competition: http://www.thetournament.com/teams

Teams applying to play in Memphis include Team Arkansas (Hogs Alum), Iowa United (Hawkeyes, Clones, and Drake), Matadors (Texas Tech Alum), Jackson TN Underdawgs (Lambuth / Local), Gael Force (St. Mary's Alum), Louisiana United, and veteran Brawl St Brawlers. I'd assume some others might sign up, we're just trying to avoid picking up Overseas Elite.

<<< ROSTER AS IT IS ANNOUNCED via Official Social Media Account >>>

1. Will Coleman (F/C)
2. Jeremy Hunt (G/F)
3. Adonis Thomas (F/G)
4. Earl Barron (!) ©
5. Tayloe Taylor (G / ETSU alum)
6. Shawn Taggart (F/C)
7. Dominique Johnson (G / SW Tn CC / Europe)
8. Chris Crawford (G)
9. Avery Woodson (G)
10. Darius Washington (!!! / G)

5/29 - I know the last two players, we'll all be happy to see them 03-wink
5/31 - Guesses on the last player?
6/6 - Actually got one extra as host. Darius hit the game winner for Team DRC last year in the #6/#3 upset in Richmond. A little older, but still gets buckets, a HUGE add.

>>>

Why you should care?

1. Team is going to be Memphis centric with mostly alums. They are announcing the team this week (finally), but the targets include:

2. You can get PAID. If the Memphis team wins, the fans walk out with spilitting $200K (!)

>>>

What should you do?

1. Click on the team link above and support the team. Unlike years past, out guys are already in due to hosting the regional, there are advantages of getting more supporters, including a deeper bench. Teams can enter for free, but have to pay for bench players past a number UNLESS you get enough support to earn extra help. We'll need depth (I fully expect some teams to look at the 901 and think our guys can be had since we haven't defended our seed in either trip to TBT), so this is critical.

2. Follow online and interact with the TBT people, they're great and really get into it with fans. It's fun and gets some buzz out.

That's it, have fun.

This event is a blast and I'm proud that it's coming to Memphis this year.
Let's show out and make it a yearly thing!
Damn, that would be a helluva team if they can land most of those guys.

Beating Overseas Elite will be tough, but this team can hang.

I was at the game last year where #6 seed Team DRC beat our #3 seeded guys. Real bummer and Darius Washington (!) killed us...
Will update main post as needed. Roster is now 4 deep as of today. All bigs and wings so far.

Coleman (GM)
Hunt
Thomas
Barron

I would assume Chris Crawford is coming back (he has a good two man game with Coleman)

After than... Darius? Joe? DJ?

Also adding Barron means one of the other bigs didn't work out, so I'd think either Joey or Tags weren't available...
they'll go out early like they always do.
1,000 supporters gets them an extra roster spot.

We have 25.

Step it up people.
5/29 Roster update on top post.
5/31: Crawford. One more free spot to go.

You'll all like the pick. Good addition...
Any guesses on the 9th add?

(Sigh)
I know.

It's actually one of my favorite events in the sporting year b/c it's tiger related and it's a lot of fun. If you haven't been before, go this year if you're near a region, especially Memphis.

Since it's Tiger related, I don't feel bad about posting necessarily, but I am a little baffled that a tournament that is in Memphis, with Memphis alum, over $2m, isn't a little more interesting to y'all.

But yeah, I look a little foolish here, thanks for observing 03-wink
Over 1,100 views on his thread. Plenty of people are checking it out.

Darius is coming home.
