Not terrible at all. Good to play The U which, depending on the season, is ripe for an upset and deep in Florida recruiting territory.

If we play any other G5 school, I’m glad it’s one that’s consistent at the top of their conference like Troy.
Guess we did not have enough pull to get a return game from Miami so that our fans could actually be present.

Troy is a quality non-G5 program but I hate playing them and even though I live 45 minutes from Troy. These neighboring teams like UAB and Troy will eat a foot long turd to beat us and we just seem to go through the motions. Don't get me wrong we should not be afraid to play as USM should beat them virtually every time we play in football. We just don't seem to have a cure.
Didn't take Jeremy long. Must not be THAT damn difficult to schedule games like half the board cries about. Kudos to him either way. I feel really good about the future of USM athletics for the first time in ages.

Agreed that they’re good deals, but i’s not like home & home with Troy and a one-shot at an ACC school is some kind of watershed moment. I’ll give him a pat on the head, but not a cookie.

It’s a guy signing a deal with his old school, plus a buy game that was apparently (according to rumor) on the table as far back as the General’s year. Let me know when he signs a legitimate home and home with a certain SEC program that still has an all-time losing record against us, or does something similar. Until then, scheduling is still difficult and nobody can really blame or praise the guy for taking a few of the easier to do deals.

Considering it took about 2 weeks on the job to do this, it deserves a cookie. Id anticipate even better news / scheduling than this will be in the future when he has more time.
The crux of this biscuit is how much is Miami paying us?
