I didn’t realize he authored the Caine Mutiny.
Recall fondly watching the TV version of his WW II epic “The Winds of War”. 1980/81. Living in Georgia at the time watching it on my B/W portable.
Many a Hollywood Lengend played prominent roles in that series. For many it was there last major roles.
