When does new contract start and does ESPN has first right of refusal on all games? If so, I think they will exercise that option on virtually every game. Facts and thought?
Certainly makes me wonder if our conf commissioner had a little bit more moxy and wasn't so quick to jump on the crumbs ESPN was willing to give him, if this recruiting would have helped.
This will surely bump us up from Espn3 and espn+...

My thoughts exactly. I don’t see a Duke or KY type TV coverage but certainly on par with Kansas and Michigan St.; so contract starts with this BB season?
BBall will be broadcast on CBS and ESPN. The CBS contract is still in negotiations. It's fairly small like 12+/- games. The current contract expires on July 1, 2020.

That’s a lot of games if they are on crappy version of CBS Sports Network. CBS will not invest needed $$ for better production and get into the same number of homes as ESPN. They have the money and the muscle (main CBS network-mist watched in America) to make the major providers do it.

They also have games scheduled EXACTLY 2 hours apart without a non paywall website or better yet an alternate station like most major networks. Memphis basketball will be their best property next year and our admin needs to get conference to plead our case so we are not scrambling for first 15 minutes to find the damn game.
We had, what, two or three AAC games that were not on broadcast TV?

Why do you think this will be an issue next season?

As I said before, they schedule the games 2 hours apart and on many games broadcast by CBSN we were without coverage for first part of game. It’s bush league.
Well there's nothing that can be done with that.

ESPN has other networks they can redirect starting games to.

We will have far fewer CBSSN games starting soon. Maybe like one a season.
All of our games are going to be on major stations. We are going to be a top 10 team and arguably the hottest story in NCAA basketball.

What other AAC games will bump us down? None. Our games will get great ratings.

I’m going to call Allie about it. We will have hopefully a top 10 team and can’t watch their entire games while ESPN 2 has Nebraska vs Northwestern on. Maybe ESPN can buy the rest of the games for this last season.

I don't know why anyone is worried about it (yet). The conference has more games on major networks than last year, many more on secondary networks than last year and we are going to be the flagship X 100 for the conference, a top 10 team, and the entire NCAA's most compelling story.

We are going to be EVERYWHERE. Do you honestly think that we are going to be on ESPN3 while Northwestern and Nebraska are on ESPN2? Do you think ad space will cost the same for both games?

Think about it.

I was told this is the last year of OLD CONTRACT which gives CBSN rights to a certain number of games. That’s why I’m THINKING about it NOW. And I’ve seen some sorry ass games on the main and Deuce with Tigers with a good opponent on App or CBSN. Having a great team won’t change the contract.

Again, last year Cincinnati, Houston, UCF, and Wichita State probably all had more games than us on the main networks. We are going to be the conference's and one of the country's main draws.

According to you the networks see us as the same as last year and will copy and paste last year's games into this year's schedule. It is amazing that this even has to be explained to you.

In the end, worst case scenario, who gives a **** as long as we're not on the app and everyone has access to our games?

Being in Canada you may not know this: CBSN is on less that half of standard TV packages of major providers and peeps don’t pay extra if they even get a major provider package. So IT CUTS OUR EXPOSURE and makes it hard to watch the WHOLE game even if you do subscribe to that network. Comprehende?
We'll be fine

The games are scheduled the same as ESPN, the network is on standard packages in Canada and if it's not in the US, what does it cost $5-10 a month?

So again, who gives a **** if 100 million people can't see every game as long as we can? Also, what doesn't seem to register and is OBVIOUS is that every network is going to maximize our exposure. We will be on major networks as much as possible.

You are going into hysterics for no reason.

So you think I was hysterical? Or you just his buddy? STAMMERS was the one writing long responses to a very simple question/remark. And with the ***** scattered throughout his replies. No reason to be offended by my topic. It’s been raised on Twitter numerous times.
