Or so has been speculated. It will split right along division lines. The western half, which was the driver behind the move, is looking at 10 and Texas State seems to be a done deal along with perhaps some western SBC schools or Indies (NMSU needs a full home).

The eastern half is looking at 12, with UMass in their sights but they're looking at CAA schools since SBC schools won't bite.

This is a terrible fake realignment thread. Everyone knows the eastern C-USA teams are the ones moaning about travel expenses and needing to structure into more regional conferences. Everyone knows there is no possible way to settle bowl tie disputes, exit fees, or NCAA tourny credits.

Go think up a better fake realignment thread if you want to win the contest.
Could the fake realignment stuff get stickied so those wanting to participate know where to find it? It also wouldn't clutter the board for those who don't and are simply looking for info/discussion.
