- Conferences pick in reverse order of last year's conference Sagarin ratings
- Conferences first declare 5 teams protected. Those teams are the initial 5 that the conference starts with. All non-protected teams then become "free agents."
- Conferences use the 7 rounds of the draft to accumulate 12 teams total. If for any reason a conference has less than 12 teams at the conclusion of the 7 rounds, they are granted as many immediate compensatory draft picks as is necessary to reach 12.
- Conferences can pick a "free agent" team of peer status or lower (P5 -> G5 -> FCS)
- Conferences can negotiate trades for both teams and picks or a combination of the two though I as commissioner must agree to them to make sure we have no shenanigans going on to empty out conferences

Extended and simplified.
Assuming I'm not usurped as SoCon GM .... the protected teams will be: Furman, Wofford, Mercer, ETSU, Chattanooga

1. If the SEC goes last in the First Round do we go First in the Second Round (Snake Draft)? It seems only fair.

2. Our protected 5 schools are: Alabama, Auburn, Georgia, Florida, Texas A&M.

Yes, starting with only protected membership means a snake draft is more equitable.

Start thinking who you want your protected teams to be, because unless one of the handful of Boise State or Fresno State fans pop up I think it'll be yours.

Thanks. If I get the MWC, my protected teams will be.....

Boise State
Fresno State
San Diego State
Air Force
Colorado State
Unless someone objects to me doing the ACC I would protect Clemson, FSU, Miami, VT, and UNC
clt is poised to rep cusa

We got enough ACC fans we're going to have to elect back on the ACC board. I voted for Mark.

You're the runaway almost prohibitive favorite ... start thinking about those 5 protected teams.

clt says 70% of the ACC chat page is under NCAA investigation,

GTS understands clt has beef with ACC's NC mafia. GTS is okay with this.

clt nods.
Assuming I'm not usurped, the Big Ten protects Penn St, Mich, Mich St, Wisconsin, and the Ohio St University.
Pac-12 protects USC, UCLA, California, Oregon, and Washington.
clt says cusa protects Charlotte, ODU, MTSU, FAU and Marshall.
Strategy ?
If AAC traded it top pick to B-10
For B-10 top 2 picks, which allows B-10 to pick ND
Can AAC use them picks for P5 schools?
Wait, CUSA went before SoCon? That's pretty messed up.
When you have zero picks on draft day...
