highlight reel - caution - rough language on the soundtrack

A lot of nice highlights there, but the music/language *really* turns me off. This one is worse than most of those others one hears on all the recruiting reels.
Doesn't ETSU own the "rights" to this stuff? Assuming so....seems to me they're being complicit in this. I'm no prude, but this seems WAY over the top to me.

Is it possible he *did* put his name into the NBA draft list but then withdrew it, and we missed it? (Meaning that this was put together to conceivably help him in that quest.) I think that's unlikely, but who knows?

I very reluctantly feel like I've lost some (more) respect for ETSU's basketball operations, and even some for Tray, assuming he and ETSU were involved in this. Maybe they just allowed him use of the footage, and he did the music on his own. That seems sorta plausible. Either way, NOT a good projection for him or the institution, IMO.

I agree.....just not right
Hope someone has made the school aware of this. This is not acceptable.
It has been removed.

Wow. That was fast. Don't know if it was me raising the red flag, or someone "inside" who also saw it and thought similarly. I'd actually like to know how it got posted, and who helped get that done, but doubt that will ever be known.
lol...this board, man...
This board is monitored heavily by the athletic department. Never forget that.

Yeah, we know that, and to a lesser extent by some of the media, but still.......I'd sure like to know the story on this.
"Older people indignant over 20 year-old's poor judgement and taste in music." ~The Onion
YouTube has a volume control, it's not that hard to operate. I have lost count on how many times this middle-aged white guy has muted a recruiting/highlight video.
I didn't catch it before it was removed so it is hard to comment on the content. I do understand that the culture of our basketball players is vastly different than the culture of the majority of our fans. If you follow the players on twitter, that is sometimes evident. I also believe, however, that part of the job of a university (especially when involved in athletics or other groups) is to educate on image and how to best prepare someone to enter the workforce. From the response of those who did view it, I imagine it was way out of line and thus I am hoping that someone got in touch with Boyd to tell him to remove it.
So basically, I'll break it down. Had anyone who is white played the same background music to a highlight tape it would have caused an uproar and the player would've likely been publicly berated. However, since the player who originally posted it wasn't, it's supposed to be okay? Teach one, teach all, no double standards.
I'm literally laughing out loud at the absurdity of this thread.

What is absurd about it?

Right. I can only suspect Running_Fool didn't see it. It was worse, by a considerable margin, than most of the hundreds of other recruiting/highlight reels out there. If *anyone* at ETSU had any role in *approving* that output, they should be very strongly chastised, if not banned from any future efforts in that vein. And that would even include the HC.

I agree
