Coastal at Kansas
App at UNC
Miss State at ULL

If everything goes right:
GS at Minnesota
Troy at Mizzou
ULM at FSU

Long shot:
App at South Carolina
GAST at Tennessee
ULM at Iowa State
USA at Nebraska

No chance:
GS at LSU
StAte at UGA
TXST at A&M
Pretty much this.

I'd move GS at Minnesota up to decent shot and App at South Carolina to at least if everything goes right.
I think SCar has some issues and this year will bear them out

Did anybody watch their bowl game against UVA it was bad

Bad juju in Columbia
Inconsistently would be one way to describe SC last yr, some games they looked like world beaters, other games, not so much. I think APPS got a decent shot at SC, and I expect them to beat UNC.
South Carolina isn’t a good team. Appy could win that game.

North Carolina is a true cupcake for APP. They are terrible. South Carolina though, is not as bad as their record indicates and will face APP midseason. This will the only game APP will not be favored in.

It's hard to call a game right now that late in the season. If they are both having good seasons, I'd definitely favor SC. If SC is mediocre and the coaching change is favorable for App, who knows.
P5's are hard to beat on their home fields. One or maybe two wins is what we should expect to pull out of this year's schedule.
I wouldn't go as far as to call UNC a "cupcake." I know they stunk it up last season in terms of the final results but they had some tight games against some pretty good teams. Plenty of talent on the roster and they have a new (old) coach also, so it's hard to know what to expect. I think App can beat them but I don't expect it to be a cupcake game at all.

South Carolina is hard to predict for different reasons. Most folks think they're the better team and they are pre-season favorites over App but they play a brutal schedule and it's hard to predict how that will play out. They could be completely beat up and demoralized or they could be circling the App game looking for something to prove themselves. If App is rolling, it could be very interesting. I would LOVE to pick up an SEC win!
We're probably going to get mollywhopped but this is about as weak of a UT team we could hope for.
While the comments I've read on this thread are mostly very optimistic opinions, they are not necessarily realistic. Other than App State having an outside chance of beating North Carolina, in my honest opinion, the rest have as much chance as South beating Nebraska in Lincoln. I will say this, that any of the P-5 teams could possibly have a bad day and a SBC team could sneak in a victory. Anything is possible.

Agreed.

We almost always do well against these mid-level Power 5s (even before becoming FBS). And the only time we haven't beat the spread against a P5 is when our starting QB was suspended for West Virginia and against Indiana with Tyson Summers coaching (nuff said). With us being a 10ish point dog at Minnesota, I'm not afraid of them.

I don't necessarily disagree with the point you're trying to make.

But I think USA's chances of beating Nebraska are among the worst of any of the league's P5 games. In all but about 3 other games I think there's a better chance of victory that that.

I'd give Jags a better shot at Corn Husker U than we have of slaying Aggie . . . JMO.
Yeah. That's one of the "about 3 others".

I don't like our chances at all either.
3+ wins, LETS BREAK THE WHEEL!
Can't wait... Fun season ahead

“We feel confident that the new field will remove the remaining obstacles for our opponents, which should allow them to score far more quickly,” Mack Brown told assembled media members on Friday.

I don't see any of them as likely wins but maybe one upset. I have no idea who.
I watched 4 or 5 UNC games last yr, and honestly, from an athletic standpoint, I didn’t see anyone that should scare the mountaineers, I didn’t see any 4.3 wrs, I didn’t see a starting 6’4 240 qb who could throw ball 75 yds, and I didn’t see the second coming of Lawrence Taylor on the defensive side of the football. Not saying it will be a win for APP, but this isn’t Alabama talent, UNC is more in line with Wake Forest.
Fourth straight season with a P5 win.

The prospect of multiple wins looks pretty good.

Well, South didn’t beat them, but they gave the Huskers a helluva game.
