Awesome news!

The aviation school is something unique that helps distinguish and separate WMU. It addresses a legitimate economic and societal need and is something not already being done at competing colleges and universities.

Proud to be a Bronco!

People come from all over the country to attend WMU's aviation school. I had a friend from there, great man. Flying for a commercial airline right now.
Another story from the BC Enquirer. The WMU part is at the bottom.

Dear Broncos,
Eastern has a flourishing aviation program. You are not alone in this area.

I like that EMU also has an aviation program, but it's apples to oranges at this point. WMU's facilities blow away Eagle Flight Center at YIP.

Don’t even try. The two programs aren’t even close to the same level.
CMU once had an aviation school.

Here's a clip of one of its honors graduates:

Dear Broncos,
The program at Eastern has the advantage of possible use of Detroit Metro, as well as the use of Willow Run airport. In any case, I was correcting the statement that Western had the only program in the State.

Thank you, Ken.

I was unaware EMU had an aviation program. We are obviously proud of WMU's, but I'm sure EMU's is strong, too. The Willow Run airport is an interesting place with so much history!

The WMU programs are part of a College of Aviation .
WMU actually started their Aviation program in 1939. 80 years ago

In 2001 EMU started an Aviation program as part of the College of Technology.
