Not a bad place to spend his senior year. I wish him well.

He’s from Milwaukee. So unless his family recently moved to the Big Easy this sounds like someone just wanting to get outta Dodge.

Definitely a downgrade for basketball but I can’t blame him for choosing a great life experience for his final season of eligibility. Gets to live in New Orleans and enjoy the night life as a young man. I wish him the best. Always been a great kid.

This is most likely it. I don't get why people always just assume that transfers are for reasons that only pertain to the sport. He's a grad transfer, right? I have no idea what his area of study is, but its entire possible that he's now choosing a school and not a team. Clearly he would have started at NIU (probably), so playing time or depth chart issues isn't the deal with him.
He's just looking for a better school for whatever he's wanting to do and he has the luxury of having basketball pay for one more year of it. Good for him.
