As a full time assistant to Nebraska. Not a done deal yet. From what I read, he's going to talk with AD tomorrow about it. I hope we don't give him a new deal to stay. One year doesn't justify some crazy extension or salary increase.
More good news.

King Jeremy! I'm sure he saw enough of Sadler in that year and a half they were both here to know he needs to go.
bye felicia

Football whiffed on the Art Briles hire......maybe basketball can hire Rick Pitino since nobody else will 05-stirthepot

And i've seen on social media where former player Neil Watson is pimping himself for the job

On February 14, 2018 it was announced that Neil Watson had been released after testing positive for a banned substance

Are you sure the new AD didn't tell him to find something, so he could exit as the one that decided to leave?
A few names being mentioned as a replacement:

- Southeastern La HC Jay Ladner who’s a former USM player on the 1987 NIT Championship team
- Current assistant HC Steve Shields
- former asst and now LSU asst Greg Heiar
- current North Texas associate HC Ross Hodge who was an assistant at USM under Larry Eustachy
- former Ole Miss and Cincinnati HC Andy Kennedy who is from Louisville, MS
Heiar. He would probably take a pay cut though. He can flat out recruit.

Would actually be a pay cut going to Neb as an assistant.

And to BDR- one winning season isnt a streak. And this isn't football. Try to keep up.

It will be a pay cut but not by much

From 3-29-19 article in Hub City Spokes:
Sadler’s salary doesn’t change, and he’s set to make slightly less than $350,000 of base salary every year until his contract expires.

From Nebraska newspaper 4-2-19 on Hoiberg's assistant coaches salaries:
Hoiberg will receive an assistant coach salary pool of $1,000,000 for his three assistant coaches. The assistant coaches will have two-year contracts.

Hoiberg’s first assistant coaching hire at Nebraska was former St. John’s assistant Matt Abdelmassih. He’ll make $380,000 annually.

Nebraska’s assistant coaches will be entitled to bonuses as outlined below:

15% of salary if Nebraska wins the Big Ten regular season or tournament championship
The greater of:
10% of salary if Nebraska makes the NCAA Tournament
15% of salary if Nebraska makes the Sweet 16
20% of salary if Nebraska makes the Final Four
25% of salary if Nebraska wins the national championship
Just hire Ladner so we can get that whole thing over with.

You are correct! However, Heiar is at LSU where the HC is suspended and in trouble with the FBI and NCAA. We don't have the nads.
For the 3rd time, Hire Heiar.

Not even if it’s one of your imaginary twenty win seasons?

Perfect. He will be looking for a job. Heiar him tonight. (See what I did there?)

We would risk the death penalty by hiring Heiar, considering his HC is about to get buried. He may be the best coach...but no way we can even let him on campus considering the **** on LSU's program, coupled with USM still being on probation.

Nah. That was all Wade. He was the one caught. The assistants had no part in it. Heiar is making $300,000. Hire him now.
