Wish I'm a freshman at GSU again starting 2020-2021. Feeling little cheated...

*only listed construction plans strictly funded by the school. Private developments and student high-rises around downtown Atlanta are not included.

Duh.. it just hit me. This must be what President Becker used to win over Coach Lanier. He kept repeating words like "progress" and "vision" in the press interview.
And when will all of this be done?? 2085?
How will freshman students be excited by a new basketball operations center?

I can't think of a more beautiful, idealistic, Utopian setting to be mugged.05-stirthepot

but...but...the campus is surrounded by million dollar homes instead of crackheads and homeless people like we thought. Haven't you seen the posts on here? 03-lmfao
Lots of good face lifts. All Georgia Southern fans are secretly jealous of the convocation center but we would never say that out loud. We're only just now getting the large facilities we need to replace the "temporary" class room buildings that have been on campus for 20 years.
Other than Hurt Park, Greenspace where Kell was, and the Convocation Center (and still showing the Equitable Building sign), what is really different in these images? Some grass steps outside the old law building?
in ATL last week for a conference. Stayed in midtown and walked to the conference center, so saw some GSU signs and buildings. Also some students wearing GSU swag. Things looked nice!
All of that is nice and all, but, it's still in the middle of a heat-sinking concrete jungle.

Thanks but no thanks...

Funny, I was visiting NYU this past week and I thought how Southern fans would despise that campus too.

I was speaking with regards to the urban feel without defined borders in a "concrete jungle." It's a fair comparison.

It will be part of GSU's representation in the Void when we're all plugged into VR pods.
Looks like Georgia State is getting serious about moving up to the bigtime.
