Miami may be much improved. Our coach used a completely different scheduling philosophy. We still went South on weekends, but instead of playing Southern teams who have been outside for months, we played a series vs a Northern team on a neutral field. We also scheduled home series vs some weak D-1 teams. So we manged to beat up on most of those teams and were 16-3 heading into this week, where we played 3 games at perennial MAC power Kent and one game at #10 Louisville. We did manage to go 2-2 in those games so Miami is now 18-5 and 2-1 in the MAC. Winning those 2 games at Kent does tend to show that we must be quite a bit better. Who else is off to a good start this year?
Not us.
Not us.

We're still undefeated 03-wink

Well, Kent State is at 10-14, and now that you mention is, that includes 1-3 in the MAC thanks to a depressing 1-2 stand against the Redhawks.

At least we are 4-0 against the Big Ten, so that's something.
Apparently one of the starting pitchers for the Toronto Blue Jays played baseball for Eastern Michigan.
I wonder if there would be a way to combine indoor practice facilities with baseball facilities to allow for early season games to be played at home. Only takes money I know.....
Ball State is 18-9, 4-0 MAC, and has won 9 in a row. The Cards are also ranked 28th in the country.

Miami went 3-0 vs EMU and won at NKU since I started this thread, so now 21-5 ( 5-1).
I saw that Central Michigan is ranked. Them and U of Michigan are the only northern teams ranked.
MAC leaders of this morning are:

Miami 8-2
Ball State 6-2
CMU 7-3
NIU 6-4

I think everybody has made a schedule adjustment today and are playing DH's today because of the weather forecast of dangerous storms on Sunday.
Miami 10-2
Ball State 7-3
CMU 8-4
NIU 7-5
KS 5-5

Ball State is at Miami this weekend for 3 games, Miami goes to Central the last weekend iof the season May 16-18.
How did NIU lose two of three to WMU last weekend and only go from 6-4 to 7-5?

I copied those records off the MAC website on Monday. Perhaps some of them were not updated.

No, you were correct. I did not realize your first standings post was on Saturday 4-13 and included results from day before (Friday 4-12).
