Well we know other teams in the CAA are losing talent. Unfortunately for us Donnell Gresham has announced he will be transferring, per Jeff Goodman on Twitter.

Not sure where he plans on going. He'd get a ton of playing time for us next season where we would be a favorite to win the conference again. I don't think he's a power 5 lock and don't see him playing at a high professional league, but could see him playing in Europe. The CAA routinely sends players to Europe so I don't think it has anything to do with that.

Maybe he just wanted a change. We'll miss you Red. Thanks for all your time here and good luck with whatever you do next.
Best of luck wherever he lands. He held things together for us when Vasa went down this year.
I’m hearing Red wanted to play closer to home and possibly play at a high conference.

Look he’s a grad, he’s won a championship so he wanted another challenge. This had been rumored during the season, so it comes as no shock to me.

I definitely wish he had stayed, but he’s essentially a “free agent”, so best of luck to him.
Shawn Occeus has now included his name on the transfer list ...

What a kick in the balls.
Wow, did not expect this one. I honestly was most worried about Brace transferring, Occeus I did not expect at all. This is rough. It's like a plague sweeping through the CAA.
Someone just called me and reminded me about Shawn's sudden mid season personal leave of absence. It worried me at the time but I forgot about it when he came back. It will be interesting to see if he winds up somewhere nearer to his home. I wish him the best of luck.
So Shawn Occeus will not be transferring to another school.

Instead, he’s going pro and signed with RBA Sports.

Basically, since he’s not a grad student, there apparently wasn’t a school willing to take him for one year. Can’t blame them either. Who would want to invest in a 1-year transfer?

I wish him the best, but boy, he got some bad advice...
I wish Shawn all the best, too, but this has been a real headscratcher from day one. A while back I went to the message boards of the schools that had shown interest in him and it was unanimous......no one wanted a "sit one, play one" transfer. Now he goes pro coming off an injury plagued year where all of his shooting percentages were way off. What he really needed was a senior season like his sophmore year.
Was it too late for him to come back to NU? Weird stuff.

I don’t know. But I think he had his eye set on playing at a high level elsewhere.

Well, we gave out our last scholarship two or three days prior to the "going pro" announcement so coming back was no longer an option for him after that point.
