ODU great Leo Anthony passed away this morning.

Leo averaged 26 ppl for his career, well before he three point shot. Dude was a stud, and a great guy.

My prayers are with his family, and I hope the Monarchs can get a W for him tonight.

Sorry to hear this. ALWAYS saw him at the games walking by. RIP.
All you need to know about this player. WOW!! "The six-foot guard finished his ODU basketball career in February of 1961 by scoring 60 points against Lynchburg College."
Wow. Saw him just a few weeks ago I believe it was at the grocery store.
Had a big impact on the local sports scene at both the HS and College level.
RIP.
He was an amazing player and after graduating he was a great coach and teacher in area high schools. He also never forgot his alma-mater and continued to support ODU in every way he could. Thought and prayers for his family.
Rip to “the nose”.

He was a high school golf coach at first colonial I believe back in the day when I played for kempsville.

I always found him friendly and gregarious.

Rest In Peace to an odu legend.

Mr. Razor, if you are around the age I'm guessing, Leo was coaching golf at Princess Anne back in the day. He coached First Colonial golf for a while up to a few years ago. My nephew played for him until he graduated two years ago.

If you played at Kempsville while Leo was at PA, would love to know who you are. I grew up playing at Kempsville GC as a kid and knew most of those that played at the HS. This would have been back in the 70s, so if you are not that old, never mind. :)

I graduated high school in 1999. I wasn’t even born in the 70’s.

He was definitely at First Colonial when I was playing.

My mistake young fellow. I wasn't even born in the 70s either.:)
He won state championships with Curtis and Alan Strange (and host of other good players) back in 70s. Was at FC long time after that. I believe he stopped coaching golf couple years ago.

Sorry to hear the news today.
