I almost got a new job once too.
And this is the reason I absolutely cannot give my full support to Bowen. He has been trying to get out of here since he arrived. I would be just fine with an announced firing. Why should we continue to pay someone who is doing their best to leave?

Bye
can't blame him

he effectively has no power with Rudd making all the tough decisions
Maybe he just wanted to move to New Orleans?
Explains our out of conference football scheduling. The guy has loaded it up with Sun Belt teams.

Not sure what is worse Bowen continually trying to get a new job or the fact that no one seems to want to hire him.

Yeah no joke. I guess the big question of how much of the good things happening at Memphis due to Bowen or Rudd is answered everytime Bowen applies for a job and is turned down.

At this point I will BOO Bowen everytime he is announced. I am done with the guy and up until now, I had no real issues with him but this is 1 job too many. Get the bum out of here.
No one wanting to hire him is starting to weigh in as the worse
Either focus on your job or GTFO!

From memory only, Arizona State, Cal and Illinois were AD jobs Bowen pursued and interviewed for.

A good question would be how many other jobs he pursued, but didn't make the final group, so we never found out?
does Rudd know about these interviews beforehand I wonder
already much discussion @ https://csnbbs.com/thread-872331-post-15...id15992047 and further on, just FYI
Seems I remember a video on YouTube of a fella that had a chat with him on Tiger Lane.

You otter remember it. That video gets posted here like clockwork.

That fan is a gentleman and a scholar and a beer snob!

04-cheers to his bravery under fire
I think it's interesting that Bowen's son goes to ut...

Yeah, I don't have a big problem with that. I know a lot of Tiger fans whose kids end up there or other SEC schools. A lot of times you want to go to school with your buddies. I know his best friend is at UT so he went there.

And I agree with you...I know his best friends parents well...good people...it is interesting, though...if I'm the AD at a high D1 program, I'd have an issue with it, but you're right...
huh.

UTK is a strange choice when you could have had pretty much any college you wanted. UTK has a bad bad rap on so many levels.

My cousins, who went there, came home with fearful tales of space ships and alien encounters.
