I thought this deserved its own thread for us bettors out there.

Early Line Movements:
Oregon opened up as 2 point dog and is now a 1.5 point favorite against Wisconsin
'Nova opened up 5 point favorite and is now a 7 point favorite
Iowa State opened at -6.5 but is now -5 vs OSU.

FSU, Michigan, UVA, Miss. State, and VT have all come down 1 point vs their open.

VCU is the only other favorite that has opened up 1 point on their opponent (UCF)

One of the most interesting games with a lot of action is Kansas State/UC Irvine. Line has gone anywhere from -4.5 to -6 with a lot of changes to the line already. It's settle at -5 right now but it's fluctuated so much in 12 hours already.

I'm going to make some official bets later today, but I really like Vermont to cover vs FSU.
Unders on every game in the South...8 of the 11 slowest teams in the Tournament are in the South.
UC v IA 2 common opponents.

@IA v OSU won 72-62
@OSU IA WON 90-70
@IA v UConn won 91-72

@UC beat UConn 74-72
@ UConn won 64-60
@UC v OSU lost 64-56

So if you believe in common opponent theory IA should kick our butts. I guess the odds makers do not.
Not a betting man but I recognize the oddsmakers' interest in maximizing analytical tools and often marvel at their accuracy. I can visualize this game with Cumberland making free throws in the final couple of minutes to escape with a 2-3 point win. Guess Vegas does too.
When is sports betting going to be legalized outside of Nevada? Our local casinos would be flooded.

State by state basis. I think it's legal in a few states already. Not sure where you're posting from but I've heard noting about any movement in Ohio.
Line Movements over the Last 24 hours: (UC Line opened at -3.5 Went up to 4 after Sunday night. Back down to 3.5)

Biggest Movers last day:
Wisconsin was 1.5 point dog this time yesterday vs Oregon. . .is now a 1.5 point FAVORITE! 3 point swing
UCF is now a 1.5 point favorite vs VCU. They were a 1 point dog this time yesterday. 2.5 point swing!
VT went from 9.5 to 11 point favorite vs STL
Villanova started out at 5 point favorite, moved up to 7 yesterday, but is now back down to 5.

Biggest Movers since open:
Mississippi State has quietly went from a 7 point favorite to 5.5 vs Liberty.
Kansas from 8.5 to 7 vs Northeastern
That Wisconsin-Oregon line is going to be hilarious to watch all week. It's clearly just rubber-banding on the result, and will continue to do so until tip-off.

sounds like next year at this time we should be good to go in Ohio

Senate Bill 111 was introduced earlier this month to legalize sports betting in Ohio.

“I’d rather do it best then first," said Sen. John Eklund (R - Munson Township) who sponsored the bill along with Democratic Senator Sean O'Brien from Bazetta. "We need to be careful as we go through this and make sure we do it right.”

Braig said 20 states were in the process of legalizing sports betting. “Sports betting has always had a stigma attached to it that is rapidly eroding and going away," Braig said.

The hearings for SB111 haven't started yet. Eklund said it could pass as soon as the beginning of June.
Not much movement from yesterday.

Vermont was the biggest difference. They went from +10.5 to +9 (Glad I locked in on them at +10!)

Florida (+1.5), Gardner-Webb (+22.5), New Mexico State (+5.5), and Seton Hall (+2) all came down a point.

Only two favorites gained a bigger spread Utah State -2.5 to -3 and Wisconsin -2 to -2.5.

I'm betting on Belmont SU to win vs Maryland (one of youngest teams in tourney).
Just completed our fantasy draft for the NCAA tournament last night. My third year and it really is a great way to watch the games.

16 guys build a roster of 13 players from any team. You simply add up his points throughout the tournament. So a 5 pt per game player for Duke could be more valuable than a 20 ppg guy from Colgate.

Of course, I had to personalize my team by drafting Keith Williams and Cane Broome. No Sucknut or UofL players but I did draft two Nevada kids. Cameron Johnson from UNC was my first pick, and then I went heavy with Kansas and more UNC players.

I'm doing something similar but not as many players. It will definitely make watching these games even more exciting.
I always said the only reason I would ever want to go to Las Vegas would be to sit it a betting parlor, watching all the NCAA games while betting on them. Maybe will be able to do that closer to home one of these years.
Thursday morning update:

All of these teams gained a point as an underdog:
Yale (6.5), Murray State (3), Iona (23), Abilene Christian (21.5)

These two favorites extended their lead:
Nevada (2.5)
Houston (12.5)

Biggest Line movements among underdogs since Sunday night:
Vermont gained 3 points (+8.5)
Gardner-Webb 2.5 points (22)
Yale 2 points (6.5)
Murray State 2 points (3)
Northeastern 2 points (6.5)
New Mexico State 2 points (2)

Only Houston (12.5) and UCF (1 point) have extended their spread as favorites by at least a point since Sunday night. Bettors sure do love underdogs.
My final bets for the 1st round:

Yale +7.5 vs LSU
Vermont +10 vs FSU
St. Mary's SU vs Villanova
New Mexico State SU vs Auburn
Florida SU vs Nevada
Michigan -15 vs Montana
Iowa State -5.5 vs OSU
Belmont SU vs Maryland
Houston 1H -7 vs Georgia State
OC - great thread. I appreciate you continuing to update.
Thought about betting LSU because it seemed like that line was really low. Held off because I'm not confident in LSU. I was regretting it in the first half, but seems to have worked out.
My first bets of the tournament were Kansas -6.5 and Murray state +3.5

My other plays today after Baylor +2.5 and st Mary's +4.5
Who is the UC campus bookie anyway?
Forgot I have Florida tonight as well +2
