Once again we find ourself sitting at home and at the bottom of the one team going dancing conference. What got us in the mess we are in? Here are in my humble opinion the five top reasons we are where we’re at.

1. Making Judy Rose an AD
2. Miss handeling Bobby Lutz’s exit
3. Delaying starting to play football (cost us being in the AAC and hindered us from building our fan base before the Panthers & hornets arrived)
4. Not being far sighted enough to hire Kelvin Sampson five years ago
5. Constantly focusing on rebuilding instead of winning.
Lets see in 10 years if you are still saying the same thing.....
clt says mistakes were made, but things are trending up now.

FAU-C only sees one mistake that Charlotte made...and that is not putting a safety net over their pristine creeks and streams when they play Marshall to catch all of the PBR cans.
Judy did some good things, but more bad/detrimental things came from her management/era. It is what is is, let's move on..
Biggest mistake was not starting football when Mike Tranghese told us to. Period.

But............9/11 yo!
1) Letting Judy Rose hang around too long
2) Not trying to change the name to University of Charlotte earlier
3) Not starting football earlier
4) Hiring Brad Lambert as a head coach
5) Not throwing an insane amount of money at Greg Marshall before hiring Alan Major

Starting football in the early '80s would have never happened given the age of the university. If you say the late '90s or early 2000s then have a legitimate argument.

Is that actually happening or are you just hoping for that to happen someday?

There are some people pushing for it and id love to see it but I find it very unlikely.
So when are you guys going to start playing football?

It will happen about the same time UAB becomes the University of Birmingham.

You are still mad about us beating you, aren't you?

I hate when people say this. But it was your super bowl wasn't it?

One hundred years from now your grandchildren's grandchildren will continue the story of the one-time Charlotte beat Marshall in anything.
Now cue CLT's witty rebuttal, something like

"CLT says oh no, in one hundred years we'll be too busy winning the SEC maximizing that potential and saving our rivers from your beer cans. All while enjoying the beautiful leaves in North Carolina."

I just realized, you’re also in Lexington. There’s also myself and another WKU poster in Lex. Cool man!

BTW, I was mainly only giving CLT a hard time since he likes to poke the bear.

In all honesty, I’m hoping Charlotte fans can start having something to root for in the coming years.
We shall build a dam in Charlotte with Bud Light, PBR and Mountain Dew cans.
clt says the Marshall can throwing incident needs to be a hbo documentary.
