But they did not earn a 1-seed. They beat Duke at full strength and..?
Really, #1 and #2 seeds are nearly the same thing anyway with the #1 seeds having a slightly easier route. I’m surprised our first opponent comes from a play-in. I figured the top two seeds got those.
They need to sell tickets out west.
Zags will lose to Cuse. You heard it here first.

I saw the chance we’d play them in the next round and said the same thing. It happened a couple years back.

Actually I think the Zags will probably prevail but I give Cuse's chance to win at around 25%...maybe a tad higher.

I think the Cuse is worth a flyer to advance to the Sweet 16 in your bracket.
Defeated Duke but pounded by Tennessee and UNC.

How much does that really say?

Beat Duke too early in the season before they really meshed. If they met last week, I’d say Duke wins by 10+

Doubtful a lot of people from Fairleigh Dickinson or Prairie View A&M are gonna travel. I think a lot of Zags, Jayhawks, and Aggies will be in Salt Lake.
Salt Lake is hardly a hop, skip and jump from Spokane. And despite how good they've been, Gonzaga is still a small school.

Twenty years of excellence has grown a pretty large fan base for Gonzaga. Spit ballin I'd easily put them in the Top 20 size wise of basketball fan bases.

Immediately thought the same thing. It must be the “exotic” 2-3 defense.

Agree.

Spokane might be 10 hours drive, but it's still close enough I think they'll draw.

Surprised Gonzaga doesn't expand The Kennel to 8,000-9,000 seats.
There are only 4 regions, so at least 1 of the 5 "best" teams in the country is guaranteed not to get a #1 seed. This shouldn't be shocking.
I'm saying they pass the eye test but didn't earn jack. The Duke win was big but not much else. That said, if they beat SMC in the WCCT, I'd have no issue.
Isn't it strange that a school in nowhere Northwest is suddenly so good at Men's and Women's Basketball. It took them so much less sweat equity to build up brands like UNC and Duke. Just seems suspicious to me.

No it didnt, and they also dont have a brand anywhere near as big as UNC or Duke. They have the brand recognition of a Huggins coached UC, not blue bloods like that

Even with Tillie?

My gut says the same even with Tillie. He may be game-fit but he has missed a lot of the season which concerns me about his consistency. I may be dead wrong and several "experts" with ESPN, FOX, NBC, and others would say I am based on their brackets but I have a hard time seeing us being victorious over Duke in the tournament. First, we must take care of Fairleigh Dickinson. Then, if we do, concern ourselves with either Baylor or Syracuse.
And Syracuse has been your Kyrpton.

Few is a great coach and excellent talent evaluator.
