Justin Pierce is graduating this spring and will be exploring his options elsewhere as a graduate student, according to his Instagram page.

Hard to say this doesn’t feel like AD malpractice. Assuming he wasn’t going to transfer if Shaver was still here, which is just an assumption (at least on my part).

You know damn well that idiot doesn't question her evil actions one bit.

I probably shouldn’t have posted this so quickly, but man a program ruining avalanche feels imminent.

As a side note, this is the unintended consequence of the summer program.
The end of our dream for next season. Will others follow?
Ugh ... this sucks!

Devil's advocate. Any chance he was gone anyway?

The saddest part is that even if more follow Pierce, what can be done at this point? No way Shaver's pride would let him come back. Is getting rid of Huge a real possibility?
More good news.

Justin was the recruit I remember quoted that part of his excitement coming to W&M was wanting to be part of leading them to their first tourney visit.

I'm waiting for the spin that this has nothing to do with Shaver getting tossed.
Best of luck to Justin, he’ll definitely get looked @ by P5’s.

Anyone telling you this has nothing to do with shaver is lying.
This sucks. I always thought the next year would be our best chance of winning it all (CAA anyway).
Of course it likely has something to do with Shaver, but the fact that he didn’t wait until a new coach was named means he was probably gone anyway. Typically, transfers wait to see who the new coach is before making a decision.

But either way, there is almost never a time when you won’t get attrition. Pretending like that wasn’t part of the decision calculus already is naive.

Edit: Sorry to see him go, but several on this board questioned his attitude/effort throughout the season (I wasn’t among them, but I did pay attention after others noted it). We certainly could’ve used his talent next year to smooth the transition.
Here we go!

Thanks for three great years, Justin. Can’t blame you for looking elsewhere. Good luck wherever you land.

Be well all and take care. This level of unabashed vitriol from the moderator, whom I respect, means this isn't the place for a simple country lawyer.

Agree. This is getting out of hand, especially when viewed with any sort of objectivity.

I'd argue that he was injured almost all season. He couldn't make the same plays he was accustomed to and looked lost on the court at times as a result.
I’m sure he was sandbagging because Tony Shaver said in a press conference that his shoes didn’t match his purse
