Someone will have to decide pretty quickly if the popular Annual Basketball Dinner is on or off. Date scheduled for April 12th and many on these boards I'm sure have purchased tickets for it.

Who would mc if it goes on? Delicate question (Huge, Bobby Dwyer,
the new coach). Would folks want to go? What would be effect of cancelling on the players? The elephant in the room would, of course, be Tony.

Most likely if held it would be a somber affair.

Decision must be made.

I have no idea on this issue, but typically this is a celebration of the seniors and the season. I don't know Tonys feelings on the subject, but I'd have to imagine that he will come to peace with the situation and attend with a smile on his face. Shaver is a longtime coach here, but he knows the profession. His tenure here is more the exception than the rule.
If he decides to retire, it wouldn't shock me in the slightest if he sticks around the Williamsburg area. Charlie is getting up there in years. Perhaps Shaver will slide into that role?

Shaver's agent stated to the Daily Press that his contract ran thru 2023-2024 and he is owed a 1.7M buyout. Shaver will be saying and doing nothing until this issue is finalized.

This occasion must go on to HONOR the SENIORS. I got my tickets and look forward to attending.
