The St. Mary’s vs Gonzaga game was incredible tonight, mostly because St. Mary’s had no fear and went right at Gonzaga. I hope we do the same.

Get to Sunday and I’ll be ecstatic. And anything can happen. This year has been a hell of a lot of fun and whatever happens we are back. Want the NCAA for Jeremiah more than anything. Hope he gets some backup!

Saturday will be the championship game...Sunday is a formality.

Either Us vs. Houston or UCF vs. Houston.

Let's get past Tulane first.

the wcc uses the tournament structure to only get
the top teams into the finals

both gonzaga and st. mary's were already in the
tournament semi-finals because they were 1 and 2
in their conference

I think he just meant that if we make it to sunday the momentum will carry us through the championship game. I don't think anyone thinks we are an at large team with 3 wins in the tournament. Prob closer to 5-8 out if we do that.

With a handful of upsets in mid major tournaments some NIT bids are now gone. I think we are safe there but likely need a win over Tulane to lock that in.

We will see. A lot can happen between now and Saturday night with other bubble teams. Win 3 games, and we're on the bubble IMO.

We would be 22-12, three Quad1 wins (UCF, UCF, UH), no terrible losses, and a hot team. Sagarin would be somewhere around 50. See Providence or Butler last year.

The 3 "home" wins are discounted through a tighter Q1 threshold. If they were neutral, Q1 would be top 50. Since they are home, Q1 is only top 30. UCF, Houston, and Cincy still qualify.

We are on the bubble bubble. Win two Q1's - including a top 5 team - and we're on the bubble.

Think about it another way...Everyone has Temple on the bubble. We are right there with them in most metrics.

Say we beat Tulane, UCF, Houston - then lose in the finals...
Temple loses to Wichita in the quarters. We take over their bubble spot.
Temple beats Wichita and loses to Cincy in the semis. We could easily take over their bubble spot.
Temple beats Wichita and Cincy to face us in the finals. Probably neither gets the bubble spot, because that means 5 AAC teams. But all we have to do is beat Temple for the autobid.

Still a shot at an at-large.
