WAC Average Attendance Ranking by Capacity %, per NCAA statistics reporting

1. GCU - 102.4% (#5 Nationally); 7170 per game
2. CSUB - 76.1% (75); 2661
3. CBU - 61.9% (116); 3127
4. NMSU - 47.0% (174); 5906
5. UVU - 41.5% (194); 3115
6. UTRGV - 40.9% (197); 1024
7. Seattle U - 13.0% (336); 1012
8. UMKC - 12.0% (340); 1179
9. Chicago St - 5.6% (353); 391

It appears that the NCAA is still using capacity numbers for Key Arena and Municipal Auditorium for Seattle U and UMKC. Because of the Roos' mid-season move to playing exclusively on campus, I'm not sure how to adjust. However, based on the official capacity of the Redhawk Center (999), Seattle U's adjusted 101.3% capacity would rank them 2nd in the WAC and 8th nationally. I can't say that I've seen any pictures, highlights, or games at SU that looked remotely close to being above capacity this season, but that's what the reported numbers say.

NMSU will never average near capacity. The Pan American Center is too big. Even in our best year, NMSU average 10,545 (in 1991); nearly 3000 below max capacity at the time. Our best attendance in recent years was 9,413 (in 2007); over a decade ago. But at the time, NMSU had just entered the WAC (with Nevada, Utah State, Boise State, etc.), we hired a coach with star power (Reggie Theus - "Reggie Nation"), and the PAC had just competed a major renovation after many years. I doubt NMSU will average over 8K consistently ever again; maybe if Jans stays 10 years and turns NMSU into the next Wichita State.
GCU v ENM out drew NMSU v UNM. Im shocked by this.
There were way more people for GCU/CSU than UTRGV/CSU. GCU & NMSU always bring 3-digit crowds.

That Lopes/*checks their website*Greyhounds rivalry is very underrated.
Do GCU fans know or care who is playing, or do they just go because "it's the thing do?"

They know at least exactly half of the players on the floor at any given time, which appears to be enough for GCU fans to show up. Hard to dismiss it as simply being "the thing to do" when three of the highest attended games (Miss. Valley St, UVU & SU) happened during winter break, when students were not on campus.

They don't care whose playing. Half of those GCU kids are probably asking if Lever has scored a touchdown yet.
