Rudd must have plans for such a short contract
Will he ditch the CUPCAKES and play a Big Boy Schedule
Odd
How long of an extension? (I'm not opening a CA link because I only have 4 freebees left for the year)

Waiting on the official details of the new media rights agreement. If that comes in at the high end of the projected spectrum, Bowen could be in line for a substantial raise.

Only 6 months. Some more about it is supposed to come out tomorrow.
I think Rudd is putting him on notice.

Has nothing to do with that.
Bowen isn't getting fired.

Good grief.

Sounds like you have the real story, how 'bout you let us all in on the real story
His contract was only extended by six months to give them more time to negotiate his next big contract. His current contract was scheduled to expire in 2019, so this gives them some time to get a good one in place.

Rudd even says in the article:
“Tom and I have agreed to extend the existing terms of his contract through the end of the calendar year until our new AAC conference media rights deal is finalized and the overall financial picture of the University of Memphis Athletic Department for the next several years is clear,”

The same article also claimed that Bowen is responsible for the renewal of the football program with the hiring of Fuente and Norvell. As we know he was not the AD when Fuente was hired. Also gave him credit for the Laurie-Walton donations. When Brad Martin played the biggest role in getting Bill Laurie back into the fold.

That easy huh? I will make sure I use it because they shorted me a couple of months out of my subscription. I paid for a full year. Didn't care because I hardly used it.

Come on man. I dont need to explain anything. If you think Rudd made this extension over the upcoming media deal which he already knows will be then I dont know what else to tell you. Hes already told Bowen how he needs to schedule. But keep calling me out in this thread bro. I was just sharing the tweet.
