J. Sanford has been named to the All League First Team by the MAC Coaches while N. Navigato and M. Jackson made Honorable Mention. A.J. Edu was named to the All Freshman Team by the Coaches. While I'm very happy for Sanford making the 1st Team, I think Navigato had a better overall senior season! I also think that if M. Jackson continues to improve like he did this season from his freshman season last year, he should be a candidate for All League next season! It will also be very interesting to see the continued development of Edu who showed plenty of potential this season.
I agree with all points. No slight to Sanford at all but I think that had more to do with momentum and perceived role over the 4 years. Navigato greatly increased his skills diversity and difficulty to defend. M Jackson continues to improve his regard as an outside shooting threat. Edu was a no-brainer.

No all-D team picked by the MAC because I got a candidate?

I SAY LITTLE, YOU SAY SON!
LITTLE-
lol

good point but actually I was thinking Willie Jackson. If there was a "fills-in all the missing pieces" team, Littleson definitely would get my vote. Short on steals? Littleson. Need a lane blocked? Littleson. Would somebody please pick up that loose ball in aisle 9? Littleson. Nobody is hitting, can we get a three please? Littleson.

A slight to the UT players listed as honorable mention, which tells you what? This UT team as a team has played real well together this season. So in naming a new award, I suggest the " all team cohesive award"

Edu not on all defensive first team? Come on.

BTW I am probably the only 1 but I think Coach K should have been coach of the year. Oats did what was expected we were supposed to be an also ran and are the number 2 seed. Which is a better coaching job?
Coach of the Year Voting Breakdown:

1. Nate Oats, Buffalo (21)
2. Michael Huger, Bowling Green (7)
3. Rob Senderoff, Kent State (2)
Keno Davis, Central Michigan (2)
5.Tod Kowalczyk, Toledo (1)

While not disagreeing on the coaching jobs Oats and Huger did this year, the voting breakdown by the Panel of Coaches and News Media shows a lack of respect for what TK accomplished with a team picked in the preseason for the "middle of the pack"! I guess the only way to "earn their respect" is to coach his team to a MAC Tournament Championship! That is the only thing missing on his resume which as a coach you are ultimately judged on!
