We are quite a bit of ways until the next football season. I’m excited for a lot of teams this year in our conference.

I wanted to start a thread for your favorite memory for the 2018 football season. Mine, even though it was a loss, was the Penn State game. Starting a freshmen qb, walking into an albeit overhyped Big 10 teams neighborhood and bringing them down to the wire. A loss is a loss, but that game envigorated me for the entire season on what we were capable of. I love games like that.

I’m probably setting up some crude jawja fans, but whatever, speak your piece!
Hiring Jake Spavital

I really want Texas State to be dominate next year. Texas is too rich of good football players, like Georgia is, to not be insanely competitive. Regardless of the other schools in Texas and their Texas recruits
Jalin Moore dropping an F bomb during a live interview when we got an interception at the goal line.
I have a few . . . though they're all related:

The Fire Teis Banner (Bed Sheet) in Bobcat Stadium. (Really Small of Larry to have that guy escorted from the stadium).

The Fire Teis Banner that flew over the stadium.

The firing of Withers (even though it was a cynical move on the part of our AD to try and take pressure off himself).

The hiring of Spavital.
Beating the mess out of Georgia Southern when we were expected to get blown out by most (not on this board)
It being over.
Rushing the field twice: once in Paulson against App and the other in Montgomery
I can’t decide, so I won’t.
Outdrawing UNC———C in their own house, then deciding the final score would be 45-9.
Being ranked for the first time.
Hosting and winning the first SBC Championship Game.
Going to 4-0 in bowls by beating the crap out of another C———USA team.
The whole weekend in New Orleans capped off with the bowl win would be mine. Granted a lot of other factors into the choice other than just football. But sending Ivy out on a high was really cool to see.

Hosting and winning the Inaugural Championship game is a close 2nd.
Finally watching my eagles be competitive after 2 years of trash football.

App State winning the inaugural Sun Belt championship game and the New Orleans Bowl
Hosting and winning the SBC title.

It was bittersweet as I had a strong inclination it would be Satt's final game in that stadium, a player and coach I'd watched since I was a teenager.

But also seems fitting looking back on it.
Nebraska!
Week 2. Georgia Southern defeated UMASS 34-13. In 2017, GS played UMASS (1-6 record at that time) and was losing 48-17 at halftime. It was the ultimate low point for this football program. HC Tyson Summers was fired after that game. Defeating UMASS proved to me that we had selected the right HC to lead this program and WINNING FOOTBALL was back in the Boro.

Just remember how BAD Southern was in 2017 ..... https://www.sports-reference.com/cfb/sch...edule.html
Mine was probably going to to USM and winning. The trip to Coastal and Charleston was a great memory too.
Anytime Keenen Brown touched the football.
We are in the middle of basketball season and the appys have started 4 football threads.....in the words of trump....sad
There are several favorite memories of 2018, but the top one has to be Wes Kennedy's reverse for the winning touchdown vs AState. This was big AState had just taken the lead with not much time left on the clock. 04-chairshot

Honorable Mention:

Beating Appy
Werts fourth down scramble and the Bass field goal in the bowl game
Beating Gag and doing the Tomahawk chop at Turner Field
The howitzer and running out of ammo several times this year.
