I have to make my travel plans and I need the schedule now!
CALL SUN BELT CONFERENCE! 877-SCHEDULE-NOW!
Someone who should know says we have 2 midweek games— 1 home 1 away. The away has to be App. I m assuming the home 1 is Louisiana

Here's what I've got:

Georgia Southern will have two weeknight games, both on Thursday
One of those will be Halloween night at App
Louisiana will be the Eagles' first Sun Belt game of the season

If ULL is first conference game, it will be at the end of September and maybe too early for a midweek... If that's true, GS might get six Saturday home games since I would think that potential matchups at stAte and Troy would be more appealing as midweek games than the home dates with USA/GaSt/CCU
The Cajun AD said this afternoon on a local show that the Cajuns had three midweek games next year, one at home and two on the road.

Based on home games against App, ULM, TXST, and Troy, they were speculating after the interview that it would either be App or Troy and probably App since they played in the conference championship game last year.

Based on away games against AState, Coastal, GS, and SoAL, the speculation was that the two road games would be AState (cause they love each other so much) and probably GS as the third place team from last year. I think if SoAL's new stadium would be completed, that might be an interesting choice but I don't think it's due until 2020, right?

The only other SBC teams with an open date on 9/21 are Texas State and Georgia State. Since we don't play Texas State and Georgia State will probably be Thanksgiving again, that'll be an off week and 9/26 is when the Cajuns come to Statesboro.

This is what I can deduce with at least some level of confidence:

8/31 @LSU
9/7 Maine
9/14 @Minnesota
9/21 Bye
9/26 ULL (Thursday Game)
10/5 ?
10/12 ?
10/19 ?
10/26 ?
10/31 @App State (Thursday Game)
11/9 ?
11/16 ?
11/23 ?
11/30 Georgia State

Yeah, the stadium is scheduled to be completed by the start of the 2020 season. Three midweek games suck, they should make it two max with only one at home.
Well, here’s to hoping Troy has just one midweek game.

If I'm correct too, it was one of the very few occasions in the past two decades that a mid season regular season FCS game was broadcast on either ESPN or ESPN2. Those Friday slots usually went to the ACC, Big East, or CUSA in those days.

You guys also played Troy on Halloween in 2015 I think.
Cajuns will have THREE midweek games. One at home vs. App.

I think the away games are Arkansas State and Coastal. We'll find out tomorrow for sure.

And for the third time in the last four years we'll have no Saturday home games in October for a school that leads the conference in tailgating.
USA at Troy on Wednesday. Yay.

Looks like we're both catching each other on a quick turnaround facing the Louisiana schools. Will be tough for sure.
Every team in conference has a nationally televised game, except for the one in the largest media market.

Great schedule for GS. For the first time since we moved up, we have all Saturday home games, no horrible stretches of travel, no stacked schedule of september home games and then no home games again until November. Awesome. Thanks Sun Belt. :)

Another positive of our schedule is that none of our conference opponents have a bye week before facing us. It especially sucks for the Cajuns because they have a long roadtrip to Ohio during our bye week and then have to turn around and make a trip to Coastal Georgia to face us.
