MTSU beat Charlotte earlier today so they got their 6th win. UTEP & Charlotte remain at 3 wins. A win tonight for Rice and we'll clinch no worse than a tie for the 12th and final spot for the conference tournament (although we could still lose the tie-breaker).
One UTEP fan on the CUSA board just posted a note that Efe Odigie, UTEP's 6-8 freshman who is averaging a double-double this season, might not play due to an injured ankle.

16-7 UTEP after we decided to leave a shooter wide open.
Surprising we have zero turnovers thus far.
Some of this is just not making shots, but our defense is flat out disappointing for the time of the year. We've seen it in flashes, but giving up 25 in 12 minutes to this UTEP team just shouldn't happen.
30-17 UTEP and it looks like the video feed is gone...which I guess might not be a bad thing because we're getting our butts kicked by an atrocious UTEP team. In 2-3 weeks we seem to have gone from the team that nobody wants to see in the tournament to a team that might very well not be in Frisco.

It’s back on the correct video channel. Like you said I’m not sure I want to watch. Just awful.
37-18 UTEP. Seriously. More worrisome, nobody looks like they care. Pera's body language is atrocious. The team's play is bad. This is a UTEP team that was down 53-12 at half a week ago. Put Ollie Xu in the game because he can't be worse than what's out there right now.
37-20 UTEP at the half. Just really bad. By far the most selfish I think I've seen us play on offense these last few minutes. Seems like one guy touches the ball and wants to be the one to score when nobody on our team (maybe with the exception of Mullins) has that skillset. Only way we're going to get the shots we need to come back is by spraying the ball quickly.
On the defensive end, UTEP is the 14th worst offense in the country and they have 37 easy points.
Pera has to figure something out because to come out this flat after the debacle that was last week is really disappointing.
We're also 5-13 on FTs.
UTEP is 8-17 going into this game.

Refs blow a relatively simple charge call, then compound their error by giving Williams a technical.
UTEP 46-30. Not that the refs are by any means the reason that we're losing, but it took #25 on UTEP about 10 illegal screens to finally have the refs call one.
48-38. Much better energy and shotmaking. First coach to get a technical should win a cookie.
Decided to drive the ball some. 48-38 UTEP. 13:09 to play.
Couple more stops and we’re back in this even with our awful play. UTEP is a really bad team...
