Quote:Consider this twisted scenario: A national publication unearths an essay written decades ago by a conservative Republican candidate for the White House in which the man describes, in deviant detail, women who fantasize about being gang-raped.

He also writes about men who get thrills by imagining episodes in which they physically force females into degrading sex acts capable of making readers of Hustler rise up in revulsion.

Shock! Outrage! The National Organization for Women would launch a petition drive calling for the man’s head and other body parts.

Well, the creepy essay is real, but it was not written by a Republican. The imaginary tale of sexual assault, pleasure and pain was penned by presidential candidate Bernard “Bernie’’ Sanders, 77, the independent junior senator from Vermont.

In a 1972 essay, when Bernie Sanders was 30 years old opined that men fantasized about women being abused. He also claimed that women fantasized about being gang raped.

The article, titled “Man — and Woman,” was first published in a now-defunct newspaper called the Vermont Freeman, then republished in a Mother Jones portrait during the 2016 presidential election.

He wrote it after studying psychology at Brooklyn College in his native borough, after he embraced socialism as a student at the University of Chicago, and before he was elected mayor of Vermont’s largest city, Burlington, in 1981.

It opens with the lines:

A man goes home and masturbates his typical fantasy. A woman on her knees, a woman tied up, a woman abused.

A woman enjoys intercourse with her man — as she fantasizes being raped by 3 men simultaneously.

The man and woman get dressed up on Sunday — and go to Church, or maybe to their ‘revolutionary’ political meeting.

Have you ever looked at the Stag, Man, Hero, Tough magazines on the shelf of your local bookstore? Do you know why the newspaper with the articles like ‘Girl 12 raped by 14 men’ sell so well? To what in us are they appealing?

where's the #metoo movement with their outrage?

btw...Bernie is a weird dude with a scary weird mind...
what man has these same type of thoughts fantasizing about rape and abuse?
So this ends his presidential hopefuls? He should resign his seat too, right?
This is as silly as pulling up John Wayne's Playboy interview and feigning shock and outrage. People DO have vivid and uninhibited sexual imaginations. Someone's never read any of them paperback books women are so smitten with.

So, are you admitting that pulling up John Wayne's Playboy interview and feigning shock and outrage is silly?

This writing may not bother some men but I guarantee it bothers women.
Bernie is at the very bottom of my list, but I don't really see the problem with this...

Not admitting, saying it clearly and out loud.

It's almost as silly as Feminists claiming:

1) That comedians making jokes about Rape is... Enabling Rape Culture
2) that men need to be 'trained not to rape women'.
3) that if anyone questions the validity of any rape claim that its... Enabling Rape Culture.
4) that if anyone runs a business and they dont fire someone the instant that allegations are made against them that its... Enabling Rape Culture.
5) That any claim that women might like it rough... Enables Rape Culture
6) that all hetrosexual intercourse is rape (Andrea Dworkin)

But they made these rules and they forced them on society... we have to feign shock and outrage or else it'll be claimed that we're ok with Rape.

The left wanted to force the issue not just with Wayne but many times in the past. They've set the stage and set the rules to the game. We are just being consistent. But of course suddenly the line is 'ok come on guys, be reasonable, you're being overboard' the moment those rules get applied to someone on the left.

That's why this gets pointed out. Hypocrisy. "Rules for Thee, not for me."

What was your opinion (I honestly dont know) on...

"You know I'm automatically attracted to beautiful — I just start kissing them,"

"It's like a magnet. Just kiss. I don't even wait.

"And when you're a star they let you do it. You can do anything.

"Grab them by the *****. You can do anything."

Did you think it was just as silly? I did and I also think one part was true...

some women will let you do anything, for your power and money. All of the people against that...it's their body and surely if they can kill a baby they cant let someone grab their *****. And the man has the right, to do just that, if she wants it...Correct?

Bernie's too inclusive.

"...In his announcement interview on Vermont Public Radio, he was pushed on how he can lead a diverse Democratic Party. Sanders cited the famous Martin Luther King Jr. quote about judging people by the content of their character and replied, “We have got to look at candidates, you know, not by the color of their skin, not by their sexual orientation or their gender and not by their age. I mean, I think we have got to try to move us toward a nondiscriminatory society, which looks at people based on their abilities, based on what they stand for.”

For expressing this support for a nondiscriminatory society, a sentiment that would have been considered jejune just a few years ago, Sanders was roundly denounced....

Yup if you suggest that now you're a racist, sexist, homophobe, transphobe, xenophobe that supports the white christian male hetronormative patriarchy.

But the left should realize that about Bernie... He's an old white male millionaire.
