Call it what I want.
Wichita is coming in playing pretty good, but I really like how Tulsa is playing now, the easier schedule has let them get in a groove. The ECU game should have been another blow out and we gave up control in a similar game against Wichita but the team showed resilience in Greenville and got the win.
I'd like to see the team come out and play the way they have lately and just run off with this one setting up a big game at Temple and moving us up the conference ladder. Important to win these kind of could go either way games for conference tourney seeding and our slim NCAA bubble hopes.
Jackson has been the key, really feel like the game in Koch got away because they didn't put him back in. Coach seems to trust him to get serious minutes now and it's made a big difference in the way the team plays as a whole. His ft shooting was an issue, but his form looked fine and I think many of his shooting woes are more caused by adjusting to college venues and atmosphere. I still don't really want him shooting from the outside but I don't think he will keep leaving points at the line which means a constant 6-10 points off the bench and a nice athletic match to go with Horne off the bench. Horne can drag a big man out on the perimeter and opens driving space nicely for Jackson. Joiner just continues to make strides and is playing at a high level right now which is a great add since he meshes well with every line up.
Need to put this late season run together and get back from the rough conference start.
