German did not step uout, but refs call out of bounds every time anyone is 6 inches from the line. Drives me crazy, it does go both ways. Another stinker game, gawd we are so bad. I officially am ready for something new.
WMU missed so many free throws and we still can't win.

All he did was score 29 points. Led the team in assists, rebounds, and points.
He was 12 -17 FG for a 71% shooting. 4 of his 5 misses were 3 pointers and he still shot 43% 3 pt. (3-7)! Compare that with Bradley, Thorpe and Richie who went 0-8 on 3 pt.

I feel like what German really needs right now is some type of intermediate pull up jumper. Essentially right now if he does not chuck from 3, he is relatively easy to defend because you know its going right to the basket. As athletic as he is, it is really tough to do that. Tonight watching the game something hit me, NIU's offense totally becomes clogged and helter skelter when Thorpe touches the ball. He misses wide open passes and just possesses the ball too long. I am not opposed to him having many FG attempts even despite the poor shooting recently, it is just something with his actual possession time that seems to throw the offense out of rhythm
After tonight's game I am projecting NIU 8-10 for the season and for the first time in ages, projecting an AWAY campus site first round game. Right now I have NIU as a 9 seed traveling to Oxford to face the 8 seeded Redhawks. If that game were held today at Miami-OH, Id give Miami a 3 to 4 point favorite status.

Good lord was it a horrid drive and not worth going given the outcome. Huskies are just in absolute free fall. 131 was a horrific nightmare to drive, I was guessing where the road was hah. I love going to games at Read though, very nice arena.
