Correct. A tiebreaker with Towson or JMU we are going to lose. One with Elon we win. That is why we were and still are big Elon fans this week. Games definitely went our way last night. Hopefully NU lays down now that they literally have nothing to play for. Our offense is looking good so we could definitely give them a run for their money even if they do play it out.
Basically we either need to win or Elon needs to win and we have 6th. Any other result we are in the play in game.
If Drexel wins and Delaware loses, doesn't Drexel win the tiebreaker with Delaware and move up to 5th? My logic is that both lost to Hofstra, both would have split with NU, and Drexel beat Charleston while Delaware didn't.

I apologize if this was already mentioned earlier in the thread. Some of this tiebreaker talk makes me dizzy trying to absorb it all.
Yes 5th is still in play in that scenario.
Well with Elon getting their road sweep today we have "earned" the 6th seed with our 7-11 record. Not a good look for the conference. However it is nice to get the bye and now its time to see what we can do with this squad against CofC.
You can’t really say that it’s not a good look for the conference. It just happened to be a year where 3 teams dominated, so the rest mostly had losing records. I’ll take it as a consolation prize, thought it’s probably not going to matter much. They had an opportunity to get the 5 seed and play a much more beatable W&M team. But instead they’ll play a very good COC team in COC land. And this time, Drexel won’t have Troy Harper to help with the miracle comeback craziness.

A few years ago, Drexel was a respectable 9-9 in the CAA and got stuck playing in the first round because the tiebreakers just didn’t fall their way. This year, they’re only 7-11 but got some breaks to make it to the q-finals. My 11th grade algebra teacher would always say, “Sometimes you get the bear....sometimes the bear gets you”.

That was in 2014-2015, and the records had an opposite distribution to this season. If you switch the wins and losses for each 2014-2015 record and rank them, each seed's record in reverse 2014-2015 and now would be the same or 1 game away.
