Just gauging interest in having an on going thread on softball here. CAA is a relatively strong conference in this sport. Opening day CAA went 8-2 and 1 of those losses was to.the defending NC.

I think it is worthwhile. May even help get others to venture to the main board. JMU is the overwhelming favorite in my opinion, but there should be some solid teams this season. Unfortunately I suspect Drexel will be the team beat up on again.

Hofstra lost many players. If Hofstra is average or worse, I probably won't post much about Softball.

Another year where Drexel does fine in a light non-conference and then gets shellacked in CAA play? Sounds about right.

UNCW is at defending champion Florida State. I like them and bought a shirt with their Women's College World Series scores. On Friday, Florida State beat UNCW 7-2.

UNCW women dropped both games to FSU, but there's nothing to hang their heads for there. FSU is a tough team.
