Thats right, after coming out last night and apologizing for being IN THE PHOTO, Governor Coonman now says he wasnt in the photo, and is not stepping down.

Despite the fact that he has the nickname "CoonMan" under his photo.

Embattled Virginia Gov. Ralph Northam told at least one fellow Democrat Saturday that he was not in a racist 1984 yearbook photo of two men dressed in blackface and a Ku Klux Klan outfit -- despite admitting he was in the picture a day earlier -- and that he does not intend to resign, a dramatic twist in the face of mounting calls from members of his own party for him to step down

What a fool. By Monday there will 10 classmates with stories.
I've said it too many times over my lifespan....

the better move is to be the shadow....

my crew saw this shitestorm coming before 10 mi. visibility was a thingy.....

some folk (with future consequences blasted into oblivioun) simply don't understand how to party....

I thank the good goodies every day for HATING politics...
I have to ask, how many here would require 24 hours to decide if it was they or not in a photo of a guy dressed up and painted as a black standing alongside a guy (or gal) in a KKK outfit?

Now, I was 20 years old many many decades ago, but I can assure you it wouldn't take me 24 hours, nor 24 minutes, nor 2.4 minutes, but less than 2.4 seconds to say without a doubt if that was I in the photo or not.

Having said that, and in the interest of full disclosure, I believe it was around 1974 or so that I did dress up for a Halloween party as a pimp, sans the black face. Those high-heeled multi-colored shoes rocked! 03-lmfao

It's not just limited to politics SF. It permeates the corporate ladder now as well.

You know you are in a precarious and unforgiving system when HR never puts a page in employment file about your accomplishments, but does file every complaint about you that they ever received. And at most corporations now that is HR policy. They want to be able to fire you for cause but at a time convenient to them. What they don't want in your file is anything that illustrates your effectiveness, your congeniality, your esprit de corps, or others who appreciate your general character. Those cause confusion in court about claims to the contrary.

So, therefore a termination with cause of any kind, even fabricated, follows the individual around forever afterwards. It's wrong. It's an immoral practice. And it needs to stop. But it is now SOP in HR and not just for corporations and politics, but in government positions (local, state or federal), in non profits, education, or unless you are self employed, just about everywhere.

I've known people who were victimized by it and have spent time trying to help them rebuild their "paper" character so that it matches their real one.

Now in this case, you have a dweeb caught red handed in a photo, who basically admitted he had done it by virtue of the apology, now recanting. He should be rightfully ruined in the eyes of the public. Not just for the black faced / Klan photo prank from his mid 20's, but absolutely for now whizzing on his constituents and then telling them it was just rain. For that he deserves to be run out of office on a rail! Hell, let's throw in tar and feathers too. It's appropriate. Tar for the black face, feathers for the Klan!

Did you wear those two toned platforms with a polyester shirt done in a print of the signing of the Declaration of Independence, while sporting lamb-chop sideburns? If so you might have been one of my younger first cousins. They always chided me for wearing khakis with a light blue cotton shirt. I still think that looked better than a polyester navy leisure suit with flower printed puffed sleeve shirt. That was one hideous era for men's clothes!
Like many others, I was appalled by the comments made by Northam concerning post-birth abortion as starting with a conversation between a doctor and mother to end the life of a baby.

After this afternoon, I have to admit that I am warming to the idea of post-birth abortion as starting as a conversation between a doctor and electorate to end the career of a lying Governor.

Yeah and it hardly matters whether either was him. Its something he clearly selected to be on his yearbook page. He needs to own it. Instead, he's trying to lie and weasel his way out.

Lemme tell ya, I was decked out from top to bottom.

I walked into a shop in a tough part of town famous for selling, shall we say, clothes for those who lived in the hood. Amazingly, there was a white dude working there so I approached him and quietly whispered that I needed an outfit for a party, and the "theme" I had in mind.

With that he shouts, "LeRoy, get over here, this guy wants to dress like a pimp!".

I left with the shoes, a pair of huge bell-bottomed polyester pants, polyester shirt AND polyester jacket, and the finest pimp hat they had in the place. They tossed in a few fake gold rings and a neckless. The walking cane, which converted into a pool cue, set me back $10. LOL

My girlfriend did the hooker routine. Suffice it say I got plenty of offers for her.

I believe the standard practice is to jab a pair of forceps into the base of the skull on the back of the neck and then suck the brain out, though in this case you'd probably come up empty-handed.
Off course it's not him in blackface!!! 01-wingedeagle Even IF, who's under the HOOD?!? 03-confused

He now thinks he's not in the photo? Think deep Ralph. Maybe some hypnotism would help jog your memory.

Where have I heard all this before?
.......how do you apologize one day, then say “Oops, my bad, forget the apology-wasn’t me”.

What is actually far more worrisome is the fact that a governor basically discusses infanticide in an interview and the Dems are silent about that.
