Y’all, read this piece on Daniel by or own Alex Riley of the Star News.

Kudos to this young man. Priorities in the right place and a great example as a UNCW student athlete.

Another great piece Alex!!

Appreciate it, CG. Daniel's a great kid. Really enjoyed doing this on him. Deserves the recognition.
Anyone got a guess as to the identity of the other basketball chemistry major? My guess would be Mark Eaton but I wouldn't bet any money on it.

The professor couldn't remember the name, only that he was in the early to mid 90s.
Very cool. He's got a very bright future ahead!

Mark Eaton played in the late eighties to early 90s. He is a podiatrist in Fayetteville. Or at least I think he is still there. I believe he is the best guess as to who it was.

One of the nicest young men on the team. His parents are always smiling and interacting with other parents and players. Great family!
I majored in Chemistry and graduated just before Mark. He told me that he was majoring in Chemistry back in the day.
