We are right there hovering above the bubble. The league will get 3 teams for sure. I’d say 4, being temple. Will have to beat them here and finish tied for 3rd or 4th in league to have a chance.
We were in NIT projections last season as well but didn't work out. We'll get an auto bid for the big dance so it won't matter.
Yes but last season we finished in the 160’s on Kenpom. Have a reasonable chance to finish 100 spots higher this year. The American also seems to be getting more respect this year
I still think Memphis has to win the conference tourney. I wouldn't have give the Tigers much of a chance a month ago. But if they they keep improving like they have recently, I think the Tigers have a chance.
Most likely have to win the tourney. But they haven’t eliminated themselves yet. Very little margin for error. Any loss to a sub 100 team will kill them. They have room for 3 more losses or so, but none of them can come to a bad team. Where they sit in the net and kenpom, they can easily finish around the top 50 and will be comparable to some teams that make it and some that don’t

A fact for the 'Penny can't coach' enthusiasts.
If we could play on the road like we do at home we would be in the tourney.

I say they can lose 2 more to get an @ large...

1 in season and 1 in the tourney.

What will hurt us is we lost every game we played against the P5 by 9 or more points and that included a loss to OSU who will finish in the toilet in the big 12.
You are probably right. But ok state is still in the top 100. Not a “bad loss”. Charleston is actually worse but still hovering around 100. We need ucf, Yale, sdakota state to keep winning they are all top 100 wins
I think we would have to win the next 4 games before being talked about as on the bubble

The nice thing is that our remaining schedule gives us a ton of opportunity to add quality to what's been a tough schedule

Tulane at home is really the only gimmie left on the schedule.
Memphis jumped temple in kenpom

If we lose 2 more in season, we will likely be in 3rd-4th place in conference. We're probably in for most projections then, depending on the AAC tourney. We win 1 game there, we got a decent shot. Win 2 games and lose in the finals, we would be in.

Those are mostly Quad 1 losses that you're talking about. They would hurt with seeding, but they won't hurt for getting invited. What will help for getting invited is no bad losses. Charleston is currently our worst loss. We need them to get going in the Colonial.

I recall us being on the NIT BUBBLE a couple of times.

It wasn't for long.

Yeah this guy does a good job with his NIT predictions and had us in a few times last March til Conference champs got upset in their tourneys and knocked us out.
