They certainly didn't show any fan interaction. I can tell you, Coach K missed the short one. Needs to look down at normal heighted people. You'll see at the end of the game.

Our fans don't stand either. The mbb and wbb environments are world's apart. 3500 for the woman is comparable to 6000 for the men.

Down in the corner we were up and down a lot and it got pretty loud. Good size student crowd but it’s disappointing to make out individual voices when an opponent is shooting FTs. It should be a roar.

Very few students ever attend MBB games. Too bad we are not like Michigan, Duke, MSU, etc. where we have a Student Section that gets into the game. It's never been that way for as far back as I can remember. The Student Section is filled with non-student fans.

The student sections are 85% students st mens games. They are only general admission during winter break.... unless you are on the corner facing in, adjacent to the visitors bench... you are a student. There is a decent amount of them... against CMU id guess 500-750. They just dont care to stand or cheer. The blue crew side is better but still nothing like OU or Akron has when they are good.

Intersting question. My experience having been in other arenas along the way, is UT fans are ready to cheer for success and show appreciation for good plays. UT fans typically know at least some of the fight song, and join in with the band. The fans participate with the TOL - EDO after a turn over. I’ve also noticed if some start chanting for defense , etc.. others join in.

The fans are most into it when encouraged by the team. The team made a big play late against CMU. Marreon encouraged the fans by motioning them to get into it. The fans responded.

The students may need some leaders spurring then on. It would be good for student fan support to have success in the NCAA tournament routinely.

How into it would they be if student organizations (Greek houses), or a number of football players stood in seats under the basket and reaked havoc all game for the opponent? Maybe there needs to be a section for rowdy fans in the first ten rows under the hoop.

Maybe UT administration could encourage this in some way. I see Greek organizations with their names on a pole at football games. This seems organized. Administration can support culture, which it does with the Blue crew, band, cheer and dance teams, as well as all the activities at time-outs.

It’s decent at UT, but it could be more of a frenzy.

CORRECT...Our players just dont do this. Marreon and Willy are the closest. J.D. Weatherspoon was a stunning dunker and could do this as well. Jonathon Amos is another that comes to mind.

That's a marketing thing. It's cold, students just don't care or KNOW about MAC basketball. It's been almost 40 years... can you blame a freshman who isn't an avid sports fan for not knowing we have a good squad?

Please, we're being judgmental. Don't you all remember those games spent sitting in the stands, reading 140 character notes from friends and strangers, looking up information in glossaries and indexes.... Some of our fondest College memories.

For as long as I can remember, Toledo has a tradition of having a sit-down student section. I’d agree with the 85% of those two sections are routinely filled with students. They just sit the entire game. Only games we had standing student sections were the Savage Arena opener, the last few games of the ‘11 WNIT run, and a few games in 2013-14 when we started 21-4.

We have had a solid white out stand up student section for BG games the past couple of years. At least one side stood.
