How could we have more than UCF and Tulsa? They are playing for post season and we are playing because if we don't we get booted from the conference

no one cares about roundball in florida. Miami and FSU play in the best league in the land and barely average 7K announced. Watch a game and if its not against Duke or UNC there are 100s of people there.

It's just 2 games so averages will fluctuate in the coming weeks.

ECU has hosted 2 attractive teams (Temple and Memphis), while UCF has hosted Temple (on Jan 2nd when a lot of the fan base was still in Phoenix/Scottsdale for Fiesta Bowl and/or traveling home)...but also ECU.

UCF normally only draws in hoops when teams like Memphis, UCONN, Cinci come into town.

For some teams...date/time can impact crowd....like for UCF, only 1 of their 9 conf home games is on a Saturday night.
SMU is down 1100 in just 2 short years. Fire Jank.
Time to kick out UCF for good.
Respect for our top 3, Memphis, Cincinnati and Wichita especially the Tigers and Shockers who are in rebuilding years.

Our attendance for this year is driven by our recruiting success for next year, not by any expectations this season. We are hopefully about to become relevant in basketball again.

But our attendance for a mediocre team this year is admirable, nonetheless.

We could very easily lose our next 6 games. In fact kenpom predicts we will lose five of the six. This year Memphis is really small and we are getting killed on the boards just about every game.

Cincinnati is pretty much in a rebuilding year as well. The loss of Clark, Evans and Washington was huge defensively and we have nobody on the roster ready to replace what they brought to the table.

Having a refurbished arena and some decent OOC opponents has helped spike season ticket sales.

I assume you are addressing the board and not me, lol.
Tulane is unfathomable, even if they're bad.
Attendance is down everywhere, Utah schools used to average 10k, not anywhere near that now.

ECU has no home conference games on a Saturday night.

ECU didn’t play Memphis at home.

ECU played Temple on a Wednesday night.

07-coffee3

Let’s not act like Temple and Cincinnati are some huge names that are going to draw the general public because they’re not.
Considering the OOC schedule you play is worse than the one my high school plays, we might as well be Kansas.

True. UH announced attendance this season is about double what it's been the last decade, and actual attendance is probably triple.

I've read comments asking why UH isn't selling out every night, but 97% of capacity ain't bad... Considering where we're coming from.
Both of our home games have been post 8pm starts on Weekdays. 14k isnt bad.

I’m pissed that the crowd noise is drowning out the bass player though.
