Better not f with Penny.03-wink
He's intense.
Both ejected.
Hes probably that way because Bobby was likely dads favorite. All American Dukie, while Dan was just an average college player

Two coaches have a heated disagreement and get T's. Then things settle down and they go to shake hands and both get ejected and it is the coaches who are being jerks???????

Another example of piss poor AAC officials who think they are the game.
Thanks for posting this Joe, I didn't know it had happened and had to go look it up

I think you are right about Hurley. They probably kicked him out because he wouldn't shut up.

1 event
2 coaches
4 T's

Those numbers indicate that 2 people were uncontrollably out of character for extended time. Clearly not. Poor officiating. That's a joke.

Why did 2 different officials jump in to start assigning T's? Usually 1 gives the T(s) and the other 2 de-escalate the situation. This looked like Will Ferrell in the movie The Other Guys playing "Bad cop-bad cop" when his partner Mark Wohlberg went in saying they would go "good cop-bad cop" on the suspect to get info. This is crazyness. In our conference you see things never before seen.

As far as Dan Hurley: he reminds me of Calipari. He can put a knife thru someone with words. He appeared to be talking to ref about a call but I'm sure he was passive-aggressively poking Haith (speculation). Penny and Hurley are both setting fires under the AAC in very very different ways. I love it. These 2 programs will battle atop the AAC for years to come. I already hate UConn. Hurley makes them even easier to hate. Glad he has UConn on the right track to success tho. It's good for us and AAC.
They were warned to stop. They didnt. They got T'd up. Then they were warned to stop again. They didnt. They got T'd up again. I dont see why that is poor officiating.

If you hear both coaches statements about it you would understand why it was poor officiating. The refs overreacted. There was no reason for either to be ejected.
Garbage officiating. Hurley may be a jerk, but so was Cal. Sometimes it works for you, sometimes it doesn't
Penny boils from within but has the self discipline to clamp a lid on his emotions. I do not know if his disposition wins games, but I admire his restraint.
Ref prob had a shiny new whistle that he just HAD to try out. His excitement overboilled when he saw his buddy blow his whistle. Think he feels better today? And now he can watch SportsCenter and get excited about it all day!

Congrats to this official for showing everyone who is in charge. What a man!

Tell me how is josh doing?

Clearly you are unaware that Hurley is high strung. Gets into a lot yelling matches. Go look him up.

The refs probably overreacted. To throw them both out seems over the top. Haith is mild mannered. That said, Hurley has a history of getting into altercations. I don’t care for him.

C'mon. What did Josh have to do with this?
Dan is a Hurley...Hurley's have always been easy to hate. I'm waiting for a 30 for 30 on why I hate Bobby Hurley? LOL.

Penny can't act that way. It's not his nature and if he acted like Dan or Cal he would be negatively stigmatized whereas people celebrates Dan's "passion" and "competitiveness" Frank and Penny have to let people know because they are not punks because they are mild mannered.
Not defending the guy (b/c I have no clue what they were saying), but Hurley wanted to shake Haith’s hand. It seemed Frank refused to go over there.
I don't see how Hurley or Haith were being jerks at all. They had words, said their peace than shook hands etc. Afterward, both talked about being good friends for a very long time and both said the ejections were bizarre.
