...along the Southern border??? Or are they opposed to building any MORE physical barriers? I'm confused.

Are they okay w/ the barriers we've already got in place? Are they also arguing that those be removed on the same grounds (immorality) as more being built? We've had them for a long time...why is just now a bad thing to have a physical barrier on the Southern border?

For those who cry "but Trump said Mexico would pay for it"....if Mexico suddenly forked over a check for the wall, would Dem's still oppose it? I mean after all, immorality is still immorality regardless of who pays for it? Right?

It's also kinda ironic that these Democratic senators voted for a wall in 2006:

Barack Obama
Hillary Clinton
Chuck Schumer
Joe Biden

H.R. 6061 (109th): Secure Fence Act of 2006: https://www.govtrack.us/congress/votes/109-2006/s262

In fact, A LOT of Dem senators supported a wall then. Why won't they now?

It was not a wall. It is more that they voted for fences, roads, security cameras, BPAs and transportation. The wall part was to fixed the walls already there, and a wall here and there. Not a wall that looks like the Great Wall of China.

Trump calls it a wall. So what. It is more fencing. Dems went from more fencing to open borders, sanctuary laws, and abolishing ICE. LOL.
The dems don't want whatever the president wants.

This is the point I'm trying to make. How can any rational person looking at all this objectively not see that the Dems are being so hypocritical??? It blows my mind just how ideologically possessed they are.

I seriously did not think that in 2019 that the Dems would still not able to get over the fact their candidate lost the GE in 2016...

Dems - are you ok with the current fences/walls we've had for a long time? Y/n? If no, are you suggesting they be taken down? If yes, then why are you opposed to more? Is it purely money? Is it an ethical issue for you? Both? We've already got barriers on the border? Why is it just now an issue? (this is Rhetorical we know why).

Not our fault President Toddler backed himself into a corner. That’s the bottom line. Eat your peas boys eat your peas.

I'm just wondering if any Dems here can legitimately answer any of the questions I've posed in this thread...
It's obvious that the ONLY reason they are against the wall this time is because Trump. Their hypocrisy can not be denied considering some of them were for a wall when Trump wasn't involved.
I have no issues putting walls/fences where they make sense. I dont support a full border wall through remote areas that would be almost impossible to traverse anyway.

Epic Applause
That's why it was idiotic for Trump to paint himself into a corner. Jim Jordan would even say that. He was opposed to something because Obama was for it. He's not a King. This is still a Republic. D's don't support the wall. Why would D's give President Temper Tantrum a big win when he publicly said. He's proud to shut the govt. down. The longer this drags out we shall see how proud he still is. It's not the Art of the Deal. That's for sure.
I oppose shutting down the government over said wall...esp when I was told Mexico was gonna pay for it.

What if it's found out that, as remote as the location may be, it's still possible to traverse?

LOL!

So imposing!
? I honestly thought more Dems would chirp in.

Then you should be supporting the 5 billion. That's all it can do.
