Mike V is the absolute man, plain and simple. Watching/listening to broadcast from other schools both in the CAA and out he out does them nearly on his own accord. His knowledge of the Seahawks and other teams' rosters is unmatched and his ability to quickly and accurately identify them on the court.

Just wanted to give the man his earned dues. He's legit, and we don't thank him enough for his work.

Also, I'd be interested to hear outsiders take on his commentating.
Hear, hear!! He's big time and we're lucky to have him.
Mike truly does his homework.
He’s very good! Honestly very lucky to keep someone that talented around at a school that size
Mikey V baby!! The greatest of all time when it comes to the Seahawks!!!!!!!!
He works very hard and does a fantastic job!
Like others have said, he is the best in the CAA, and I would put him up with anyone in the business. I'm surprised he hasn't moved on to a bigger school, but I'm glad he hasn't. Maybe he's waiting on the Syracuse job to open up! Appreciate all you do MV.
Smooth voice that is easy on the ears. Knowledgeable. Most of all I appreciate his demeanor. He is very astute at how he asks questions and manages the HC during interviews. Thank you Mr Vaccaro for what you bring to the program. A UNCW Seahawk institution!
Ditto....
Nailed it Hawking.
He’s been at the mic since 2004. Before that he was at Campbell. The Towson voice Spiro Morekas has been there since 1991. Curt Dudley has been doing radio and/or TV at JMU since 1988.

Jay Colley has been at W&M since 1983. But Vaccaro has built the radio network and a lot of the fan base.
Great thread, we are lucky to have Mike V. Only a couple of other CAA schools are on par with the SDN broadcasts. Marty Feurer does a great job with the color commentary for basketball as well.

I agree. Last year I was a bit skeptical, but he's really stepped it up this year and is a good compliment to Mike V.

Agree, i actually though he was pretty terrible initially. But he's improved his game substantially!

I was actually talking about this with a friend while we were watching the game Saturday. Last year it seemed as he didn't know much about the team. This year you can tell he watches every game and provides really good insight. Sometimes it takes time to develop chemistry in the "booth"... Look at the MNF guys lol.
