I would like to thank Coach Carey for his hard work and dedication. He and his offensive staff drove me nuts many times but he had much success here. Thank, Rod, and good luck!
Good Luck Coach, thank you for all the MACC and the big wins along the way......Good luck, and never beat NIU in the future.
Congrats to Rod. Not a perfect coach but he represented the university well and came away with 2 MACCs. Good luck at Temple. I'll be watching to see how you fare.
Carey was very frustrating to watch but the results speak for themselves. He continued the winning here at NIU and has actually left a solid base for the next coach.

Good luck and come back to NIU to lose at Huskie Stadium.
I am grateful for the MAC Championship. However, hiring Carey was an overreaction before the Orange Bowl. Carey did a nice job recruiting but we need to find the next Dave Doeren.

No disagreements with your post, it is time for a new voice. That said, there is also a chance we hire the next Sadler.

Thank you, Mr. Positivity...
Thank you Coach Carey. Although I have not always agreeed with your decisions, you have run a clean program that won championships and made bowl games and players are graduating.
Good luck Coach Carey. Thank you for all that you did for NIU.
Thanks Coach Carey,

You ran a clean program, graduated your players and won MAC Championships.

Hope the next coach can maintain the same standard.

+1 and he had some memorable wins against the Big Ten. I think he got a bad rep here at NIU. Some of it deserved, but the constant “fire Carey” non-sense was excessive. Hopefully we make the right hire. Fans of other MAC teams are already rejoicing, guess they thought of him much more positively than niu fans did....
Good luck Carey and Thank You. Temple is an interesting gig. Thanks for keeping the Huskies relevant. Don’t forget to play your best players at Temple Bwhahahaha. You will be remembered always for the MAC Championships, Bone Yard victories & and your infamous fake punting. Much success to you!!!
Good luck to Carey at Temple. Some good memories he gave us at times

Huskies have a long rebuild ahead of then, but I am somewhat relieved it is starting. There is nothing worse than treading water and delaying rebuilds
I was as hard on him as anyone. His play calling and offensive style were bad and mindboggling at times. However, he won us 2 MAC championships, ran a clean program and did a great job of graduating the guys. For that we should be proud. I'll wish him well and good luck.

Rebuild? Really? You act like the culture at NIU was so toxic. It’s incredible....you would think we are fans of a 1-11 team right now.

The roster suggests rebuild. There is a big lack if talent on both sides of the ball headed into next year. You can say alot of good things about Carey but he is leaving NIU in bad condition
I disagree that it is a rebuild. I just think we needed a change in direction. We didn't get the most out of this roster, especially the QB position. Hopefully, the new coach will inject new life and excitement into the offense.
