it's impressive what spiker has been able to do with harper. i thought we should have kicked him off the team with the tantrum he threw at a game i went to last year. seems like he found a way to get him to buy in.

As a separate issue, I don't think the refs should factor in how little time there was left and that the player knew he needed to shoot.(01-10-2019 10:30 PM)sctvman Wrote: [ -> ]Here is the Brantley foul call on Harper. That's a great video. Questionable? Yes. But the more I look at it, I actually think that they got the call right. There was only 2 seconds left so he had to put up a shot. And his feet were behind the 3 point line. Obviously, there was no way in a billion years that he could have accurately shot a 3 pointer from that position. But he was getting ready to take a shot as he was tripped. I think that under the rules of basketball, the refs got it right. Very unfortunate if you're a COC fan. Anyway, COC lost the game because they fouled Harper on the play before when they should have just let him in to score. They lost the game because they missed a couple of key free throws down the stretch. And they lost the game because they never should have tripped Harper in the first place. They did not lose the game because of the ref's call.
