it's impressive what spiker has been able to do with harper. i thought we should have kicked him off the team with the tantrum he threw at a game i went to last year. seems like he found a way to get him to buy in.

Last year was tough for him having two players just like him playing beside him. Now with Maine graduating early and Lee injured most of the season, this is allowed Harper to be the key go to guard and have the ability to showcase his talents. Last year, Maine was the main guy doing all of that. It was Lee the year before.

That's a great video. Questionable? Yes. But the more I look at it, I actually think that they got the call right. There was only 2 seconds left so he had to put up a shot. And his feet were behind the 3 point line. Obviously, there was no way in a billion years that he could have accurately shot a 3 pointer from that position. But he was getting ready to take a shot as he was tripped. I think that under the rules of basketball, the refs got it right. Very unfortunate if you're a COC fan. Anyway, COC lost the game because they fouled Harper on the play before when they should have just let him in to score. They lost the game because they missed a couple of key free throws down the stretch. And they lost the game because they never should have tripped Harper in the first place. They did not lose the game because of the ref's call.
Charleston's video view facing Harper made me think he was fouled before the shot, but that Twitter view makes me think the call was correct or at least close enough that I wouldn't have overturned it. As a separate issue, I don't think the refs should factor in how little time there was left and that the player knew he needed to shoot.
Calls should only consider what a player did, not what he should have done.

You could be fourth after tomorrow if Northeastern loses to William & Mary and Charleston loses to Delaware. Your last 8 games are 5 at home and trips to the three teams below you. You could climb late in the season.
