Most Indispensable Player.

Ryan Pippins is second on the team in minutes played, even though he has not started a single game, and has not played at all in two of them.

I like Ryan. I like a lot of our players. I think we have talent. I think Darrell can coach defense. But, I can't explain why we can't stop anybody. Teams seem to light us up from behind the arc like they did against Steve and Wes. Gant looked unstoppable and like an NBA player last night. He's good, but he averages 16, not 45 a game. I certainly don't have an answer. I hope Darrell does, because otherwise it will be ugly against Troy, once again, Thursday night.

While I hate the "we are young excuse", there may be no way around it at this point. Nikola is a freshman and Gant is a senior. He can be as good as Gant 2 or 3 years, but he isn't right now. Markquis has the potential to be an all-conference point guard, in this league, but he isn't right now. Darrell will get more time than Wes, to turn this around, and it won't happen over night. But, I was really hoping to be improved this year and, at least, make it to New Orleans. I still think it's possible, but we desperately need a win or two at home this week.
