Win, duh

Normally, I pull for them to lose. But this is G5 v P5, so we really cant afford for them to lose.
Loss. Nobody beats LSU other than Troy.
After the Notre Dame debacle? We should all be rooting for UCF- who will be starting the #2 RS FR QB) to defeat a LSU team that was in the top 5 for a good portion of the season.

The more chaos in the selection process (which shows the outright hypocrisy of it all), the better.

Gonna be a fun matchup... UCF's running attack is waaaaaaay underrated. It will be interesting to see if they can run it on LSU the way they have everybody else this year.
I pull for UCF's success because our athletics is trying to copy and paste what they did a decade ago. Throw money into facilities, attract athletes and staff, win some games in football and basketball, raise money and brand awareness, repeat.
Just because its lsu, you should know where i stand. geaux UCF
The only people who shouldn’t root for UCF are LSU fans and the cronies who think the CFP isn’t an abomination.

Win: And they have bragging rights for a victory over a P5.
Lose: And it was simply “expected” P5 Vs G5

But if you seriously think that a win is going to change anything in the college football landscape, then you’re deluding yourself.

But hey, it’s ‘merica, that’s your right.
25 in a row sounds good to me, and maybe they can keep it going in 2019. The whole P5 thing is a farce. Cincinnati, UCF, Memphis, Army and a host of others would compete very well in the ACC, BigXII, Pac12 or Big10, and hold their own against many of the SEC teams.
UCF continuing to win only makes the argument for G5 representation in the CFP stronger.
Realistically, only the top 3-4 of any P5 conference are that much better than top G5 teams. And that's about the added resources they get from the system that's stacked against the G5.

Heck they are way ahead of the other 5-7 in their own conferences. At this point there are only about 30 squads that are really competitive. Watching this bowl season there are 3-5 out of G5 conferences who would be middle of the pack with some P5 conferences. AND THAT IS WITH THE DECK STACKED!

Not as long as there are only 4 playoff spots. In the end the argument will always come down to: “Well, that G5 didn’t play P5 level talent week in and week out.”

Under the current system, there’s no way in hell they give one of 4 coveted playoff spots to a G5, period.

You wanna see a G5 in the playoff, pray for playoff expansion, cause it won’t happen under this system.
I agree and if it ever goes to 8 the P5 will resist putting a G5 in even then
I honestly hope LSU curb stomps UCF.

Even if UCF gets it will be good for UCF first, the AAC a distant second, and won't even help the G5 much.

The AAC has been knocked down a peg this year, and I think its been seen. They are still the best G5 conf, but its not by as much anymore.
I'm all for G5 wins but UCF is too cocky for my taste. UCF trying to kill that QB.. Playing dirty. Hope LSU hangs 28+ on them and flies a national champions banner afterwards.
I’m fine with the streak ending, if only because people might finally quit pretending our win over them was a big deal
